Just got the G.G. Series Collection+ so hopefully I'll get some first impressions of that up in the next week or so. Definitely a great package; unlike pretty much every other mini-game collection I've played, this one is totally worthwhile.
How likely do you think it is for the G.G. series collection+ to come to europe because if it does come to europe then I'll get that and only get the G.G. series games on dsiware that aren't in the collection like Z.one 2.
@mariofanatic128 - Personally, I think it depends on how well the G.G. games would sell on DSiWare, if they were released in Europe, since about half of the Japanese collection is on DSiWare.
Yeah, I definitely think Genterprise is only putting out two of them to test the waters on DSiWare first, but that might just mean they wouldn't try to publish themselves (and they still might not - retail is a different beast). No reason someone like Rising Star couldn't pick it up - assuming they make enough on localising retail DS games to make it worth their time.
Uh.... this might be a bad translation, but according the the new Press release, Super Hero Ogre is coming out on Wednesday....? Here. Sorry 'bout the Japenese. EDIT: It says it's "Starting delivery" on Wednesday. Maybe that's when it's submitted to Nintendo?
Well, I'm giving the collection another week before doing the FI. The complication is that they've decided to make you work for your supper. You only get to play one game in each of four genres initially and have 60,000 GP to buy two more out of a pool of four (again, one in each genre). Each game has target objectives like score and level reached to earn more GP and you get a piddling amount based upon score, so you either need to get really good or play A LOT to earn the 30000 required to buy another game.
If I didn't already know how much I enjoy these games I'd be really really annoyed at this. Might make deciding on whether to import this or buy the standalone ones as DSiWare a bit easier for those who have a choice...
@Sean I have some questions about the collection: How does the GP system work? Does all your GP add up to a totol to buy the other games? Do you choose which games you buy?
You start out with one game in each of four categories (this is probably random, but I don't feel like deleting my save data to find out!): puzzle, shooter, action, and sports. The GP earned goes into a single pool which is visible at the bottom of the top navi screen no matter what menu you're in. When you have enough to buy a game you go to the shop and can choose one of four randomly selected games representing each of the four genres. I'll probably have the FI up by the end of the week. I was able to buy another new (to me) game, Last Knight, which is a dungeon crawler with light RPG aspect - really fun little game like most of them.
