I picked up Glory of Heracles yesterday and I must say that I am enjoying it so far. The game itself is a typical JRPG with Greek mythology elements including the Greek name Heracles (Hercules is Roman). The combat system is a typical turn-based system with attack, magic, skills with the option of switching character positions into two rows. The magic is based off the four elements wind, water, fire, and earth along with light and dark and the short touch based minigames, which boost the magic power, are pretty fun. The controls are fairly easy to figure out because you can either use the touch screen or the buttons and D-pad without having to switch control schemes from the game menu. While it's nothing too spectacular, I definitely recommend this game.

I love the battles. The game definitely has one of the deeper systems I've come across (the front/back row system adds a LOT of depth to it). Boss battles are lengthy and well designed (especially fun) and the random encounters are incredibly well spaced out. Also, the magic actually feels rarer and more powerful in this than in games like Final Fantasy or Golden Sun, and I like the change. Herbs aren't useless either, yay!
The exploration is lame, though. Running around the towns feels clunky and boring, the world map looks a bit odd, and the graphics look pretty drab and messy in places. One problem is that the camera positions itself at an isometric angle in shops which makes collisions against counters "slidey", aka annoying. Also, you can walk right through people, which feels cheap.
I do like the story and characters quite a bit. It's definitely holding my interest far more than previous RPGs I've played (Nostalgia, Golden Sun).
