Hi all, I've bought a DSL with a broken hinge for repair and a have a quick question that I'm hoping someone might be able to answer! From what I can gather, the underlying cause of the hinge breaking on the DSL is that the hinge is too tight, causing too much stress on the plastic which eventually gives way.
I am going to be swapping the broken casing for a replacement kit, but if I use the same hinge mechanism will this just result in the problem occurring again? If so, does anyone know how it can be avoided - is there a place to buy hinges that are looser, or something like that?
Thanks for the help!
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
