Downloadble quests? and a online shop? I just found out about the hotel thing today, DF2506, now this! Thats great!! BTW, to anyone who lives in NY, are you going to the launch event at Nintendo World?
hotel thing? What's that?
Nintendo Week (on the Nintendo Channel) was all about Dragon Quest 9 this week! They showed character customization (looks great), some turn-based battles (one with a knight looked especially fun), and the recruiting feature (getting people for your party).
Next week, they are supposed to show local multiplayer for Dragon Quest 9!
The game looked great on the video. They were playing it on the DS XL and it looked great! Not too much longer till it comes out.
Is anyone here getting it on release date? I plan to go to Nintendo World and try to get my signed! :3 I know it is the first 30, but hey, i was the first 100 to get a Super Mario Galaxy 2 Artwork thing.

I have a $30 preorder on it, so I'm kinda forced to get it day one.
I've been looking forward to getting this for a while. Is it true that this will be a dual cartridge game?
No, its not a dual cart game. It is a VERY long game though!
I got the Dragon Quest 9 guide yesterday!
DQ9 looks really awesome. The main quest looks lengthy, there's tons of sidequests, random treasure maps, an amazing amount of cool equipment to find, the multiplayer looks great (can't wait to play it), and the graphics look very good.
Very excited about the game. Somebody I know is getting the game on Sunday; I'm getting the game sometime next week (ordered it online). Can't wait to play it!
After reading Nintendo Power's review on it, the reviewer stated that you could ignore the multiplayer stuff if you felt like it. I've never really been a big non-Pokémon RPG fan (mostly because I haven't gotten into any of them), but I'm getting it on launch day (or the day after that) and I don't know anyone else getting it, so if you remind me I'll give you my impressions of the single-player campaign.
Fair enough. Just so you know, GameRankings.com shows that there are 7 reviews of DQIX, 5 of which are online. You may want to check them out to help you better decide.
If you live near a FRYs Electronics, up until the 15th of the month they're selling it I believe for $33 instead of the usual $40 at retail.
According to Gamestop's website, it only costs $35. I have mine preordered there, and I could never convince either of my parents to dry me out to the nerest FRY's only to save $2.
