Topic: Pokkén Tournament amiibos

It seems rather apparent that Pokkén Tournament will be coming to the Wii U. Do you foresee the game having specific amiibos made to continue to bleed our wallets dry? If so which ones would you like to see and what type of functionality should be implemented?

possibly in a similar way that Smash Bros. does

The thought of Nintendo making amiibo for all 721 Pokemon scares me and makes my wallet cower in fear. Thankfully Pokken Tournament will only have a selection of Pokemon.

Nintendo will release Amiibos of every single pokemon, they have power...unlimited power.

I feel like that IF the game ever gets a console release, amiibo support will be limited to available figures giving you small stuff (like in Hyrule Warriors), or the rumoured amiibo cards will jump in to offer the entirel range of playable Pokés without high manufacturing costs.
Maybe, just maybe, Nintendo could release a special Lucario amiibo with a unique design that works exactly the same way as the Smash version.

while I do think amiibo will be useable, I don't forsee nintendo doing a seperate line for the game, because as the game is a fighting game they are already super limited on what they can even do as far as support, If I had to guess it would probably costumes similar to the nintendo costumes in tekken tag 2 Wii u edition as it seems to fit current trend of what namco bandai is doing with amiibo support.

Wasn't the roster only going to be part Fighting types only?
Still, wait till the end of 2015 or somewhere around next year when the Arcade comes out for Japan.

Nah, there's a comment somewhere say it wont be exclusively fighting types. They need Pikachu to make an appearance after all.

Pikachu could be the judge or something (I think it might be too small for this, but who knows). But that aside, Pokés like Bisharp, Tyrannitar, Lopunny, Zangoose, or Snorlax, are just some examples of non-fighting types that could easily end up in this game.
