Topic: amiibo Collection

Just snagged luigi and pit last night! so now I need diddy, mac, falcon,marth, WFT and villager. Will be heading to best buy today to see what they have.

Have all of wave 1 and wave 2 (if you count my Captain Falcon on pre order) after long, hard searching. I will not keep them in box, because of a display i have in mind. Shulk and Meta Knight on pre order, lucario is soon to be along with rosalina. Then I will preorder Ike, King Dedede, Mega Man, and Sonic (maybe sheik).

Bam Ive got two complete sets of wave one and two officially now.

Just got Luigi and Little Mac. Shortly after wave two was announced my friend and I decided we'd get each other one amiibo from it as a gift. He got me Mac, I got him Luigi. Funny story on Luigi, though, as I originally had a couple of them pre-ordered from Amazon. They were taking forever to ship, so my friend picked up 2 at Gamestop. We got together, I payed him back for both and got mine, and he took the gift he technically already had home. Felt weird since I didn't actually give it to him. Oh well.

I now have all of waves 1 and 2 except Falcon and Pit, though Falcon is in the mail on his way here. I've noticed that the wave 2 figures have an overall more consistent paint job than the wave 1 figures. For example, each of the Zeldas I looked at was just as good as the others, I didn't see any that I would have passed up due to bad paint work. The wave 2 amiibo also look really nice. Zelda and Diddy Kong are probably a couple of my favorites from the currently released ones from either wave.

I have Pit and Samus for now. The other ones I want haven't even been announced, so I'm done "collecting" for a while.

I'm looking forward to the next wave. Will be getting Toon Link, Sonic, MegaMan & Shulk.

Funny thing, the ones I decided to keep sealed in wave one due to not having time to use them (Marth aside, supply was plentiful when I brought them) are the ones that are the most costly. I guess it does pay to be lazy lol, granted I'm not going to sell them and would most likely open them when I have time and need to use them.

Many of them are, unfortunately. Most I've seen lean to the left, but mine actually leans to the right. I didn't even notice until I unboxed her. But it actually isn't this noticeable. The picture makes it look worse.

You know, I have a bit of a dirty mind myself but I didn't realize that this was starting to sound like...Something else. XD

I ordered a Mario,Peach,Kirby,and Diddy Kong amiibo off of Amazon today,and I'll most likely get another amiibo from Gamestop tomorrow with the gift card I got.

Merry Christmas y'all! I have all of wave 1 and 2 atm, and I pre ordered Ike, Mega Man, Sonic, and King Dedede. Have had Shulk and Meta Knight on preorder for about a month. Still need to get Rosalina and Lucario soon. Then I'll get Sheik and Toon Link!

So apparently I've been a bit more vocal than I thought I was being about how much I thought Amiibos were cool. My collection doubled from 3 to 6. I now have:

and... they do look better the more you have... which is worrying me a bit...

I now have a Zelda amiibo also set to arrive from Amazon and I'll get a Link and another amiibo(depending on what's there)from Gamestop tomorrow.

Got Pikachu today as a (nearly) complete surprise from my grandmother. c:
Also took Marth out of his box. It's such a shame so many are going to be stuck in their boxes forever; the detail on them can't be fully appreciated until you have one in your hands. ♥

I own all wave 1 and wave 2 Amiibos, and currently have a pre order in for all wave 3 and exclusive Amiibos, EXCEPT for Rosalina & Luma.

So I did some research, and as it turns out the Amiibos are not region locked and have no visual differences between regions, aside from the packaging. So I pre ordered Rosalina & Luma from a Japanese eBay seller for $22 and $4 shipping. Less than $30 and my problem is solved!

For anyone wondering, the Japanese Amiibos will work in other regions, have no noticeable differences, neither do you have to worry about in-game text language, since the name is not coming from the Amiibo itself but rather from the disc. So as long as you're not collecting these in the package, importing might be your solution.

Completed wave 1 and wave 2. In addition, pre-ordered all of wave 3 from two retailers including the respective exclusives. This includes Rosalina & Luma, since I was fortunate to be awake when Target made her available back in the wee wee early hours of Dec. 17th for about 25~ minutes or so. After the recent massive TRU order cancellations and some random order cancellations from Best Buy and Target, I've decided to place pre-orders from multiple retailers to mitigate the risk.
