@WaveBoy Totally agree with you on Luigi's Mansion 2. The first mansion was fun at least, but once you move on you realise how shallow the gameplay is.

1. Pokémon X - by far the best so far in the series, IMO, they got a lot right with this one being the first 3D main series game. I LOVE the changes that made it easier to breed and train competitive pokes although the altogether post-game content feels lacking

2. Super Mario 3D Land - did everything there is to do in this game, really great amount of content compared to the old Mario Land games

3. A Link Between Worlds - the simple wall-walking mechanic opens up so many great puzzle possibilities and they take advantage of that so well

4. Animal Crossing - I just wish I hadn't found easier ways to make money in this game as it kinda ruined a lot of the fun of it for me and I ended up abandoning it and my poor townsfolk.

5. Mario Kart 7 - power sliding just feels so good in this game

I'm just going to steal your list and add some honorable mentions.

Shin Megami Tensei IV. It's niche, but if you can get it, you're in for a ride.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The revamped Wii title plays and looks amazingly well on the 3DS.
Kid Icarus Uprising. Smooth controls and a beautiful game come together in this shooter.
Resident Evil Revelations. It got a console port because it was so good. Nuff said.
Fire Emblem Awakening. THIS is why art direction is such an important part of gaming. I didn't get too far before I had to sell it, but it hooked me for the short itme I had it.

I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite

Guess its my turn. Here we go then

1. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds — Not surprising the sequel to my favorite LoZ game takes the number one spot, but that wasn't the only reason. The visuals were great, the music and some of the dungeons were some of the funnest I ever encounter in an LoZ game.

2. NSMB2 — Yeah I know that this game got alot of slack be being to similar to the other NSMB games but since the only I played was NSMBW that didn't bother me. This game reminded me alot of SMB3 and I love the collect a million coins goal. I still play this game from time to time. One of my favorite Mario games in a long time.

3. Castlevania: Lord of Shadows Mirror of Fate — Another one that got alot of slack. For me it seemed to take a bit of everything from past Castlevania games. Also the graphics were beautiful and the music was as great as any other Castlevania game.

4. Gunman Clive — I was surprised by this one. A great game at a great price. Gameplay wise it felt like a Mega Man game in the old west. The graphics seemed to fit this game really well as well as the music. Yeah it's a tad bit on the easy side but I keep finding myself playing this game again and again.

5. Mario Kart 7 — It's Mario Kart need I say more?

The first mansion was easily the best part of the entire game. Nintendo should of made that giant spider the final boss and sold Luigi's Mansion as an tiny eShop release.lol terrible idea i know, but it would of worked for me. After the first mansion, the game gradually goes down hill from there, or more like the tediousness starts to run you dry. I would of been just as satisfied and less burnt out & annoyed if i just stopped playing right then and there. Yea, i think i'm going to get rid of my copy. Time to send it to the Strider scrap yard along with Star Fox 64 3D to the land of long lost forgotten 3DS stinkers.

Anybody else not care for StarFox 64 3D that much? I though it was decent, but it's an experience i could of easily done without.

I don't think Star Fox 64 3D is that great either (Not spent the time to find again where the branches are to get to the better difficulty levels).

But its brilliant in 3 player. (One of the few 3DS games with a worthwhile download mode for single cart play). Not played in 4 player but I expect it to be better still.

And I got it for 25% of RRP so that seals it. Better than nearly all eshop games I have played at a similar price.

1. Fire Emblem Awakening - Of all the games in my 3DS library, I've logged the most hours into this game. I love all the characters, the story and how it unfolded was great, I loved the music and I didn't mind paying for the DLC. I loved all the support conversations you could have as a lot of them were hilarious. It was a little too easy for me once my characters were too overpowered but that was my fault and even if the enemies were no threat I still had fun plowing through hordes of enemies with only two units (Usually Chrom and Lucina). I still haven't tried to beat the game on Lunatic classic because I don't have the patience for that but maybe one day.

2. Project X Zone - I haven't played all the games that these characters are from but I loved every minute of PxZ. While I will admit that near the end it did take a lot out of me to beat the chapters but I still managed to beat the game twice on normal and hard mode. I liked all the nods to the characters games as well as the dialogue the characters can have with each other as i got a lot of laughs out of it. The soundtrack was also fantastic and this game also got me interested in the games that the characters are from.

3. Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl - Etrian Odyssey IV's demo got me interested in the series but it was Millennium Girl that made me want to get the other games (mostly 4 and 3). The addition of story mode was pretty nice as I wasn't too motivated going through Classic mode but I at least got to the 2nd Stratum in classic so that's something, I guess. I also really loved the new soundtrack as a lot of the tracks are still in my head and I love it. I think the level up system could use a little work as it became a chore to get from level 70 to 71 but I still loved the experience and I'd love to play an EOV should that game ever come out.

4. Pokemon X/Y - I love Pokemon, its my favorite Nintendo franchise. I loved X/Y a lot as I have both games and I've beaten them both. While they have made making competitive teams a lot easier I still have little patience for it and with all the other games I haven't beaten it would take up too much time but I still dabble in it here and there. I still think the soundtrack in Black/White and Black 2/White 2 is still better but there are still some pretty good tracks in the game that I like. The Gen 6 Pokemon were also pretty useful as I did a Gen 6 only run in Y and all my Pokemon (Greninja, Talonflame, Florges, Pangoro, Gogoat, Goodra) never let me down. The lack of post game content is unfortunate, there is still competitive team battling/building to be done and I can't wait for Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby to come out (as I played the most of Gen 3 when I was younger).

5. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - Last but not least, there is A Link Between Worlds. I haven't been a huge Zelda fan as I only own Minish Cap (which I love because it was my first Zelda game) and Phantom Hourglass (which was alright but not as good as Minish Cap) but hearing that it would be a sequel to A Link to the Past (which many Zelda fans think is the best 2D Zelda game) and that it'd be 2D, I got excited and when Christmas rolled around I was not disappointed. I loved all the remixed Zelda music and the gameplay was great as well. I've nearly gotten everything in the game but the remaining Heart Containers but I really enjoyed this game. I will attempt to play Hero mode but for now I think I'll pass.

I'll play this game... but unfortuantely, and this is kind of embarassing for a system I've owned for over a year, I only own 11 games for the system. Of which I've only played enough of 5 of them to form a real opinion on (and Project X Zone ain't going on any 'best of list's' I'm afraid). So this is going to be a TOP 3 list, with an Honorable Mention.

1) Super Mario 3D Land - I say this whenever I can, probably my favorite 3D Mario game of all time. Possibly in my top 3 Mario games of all time with 3 and World. Its return to classic 2D gameplay, combined with inspired level design, a ton of levels, and the best use of Stereoscopic 3D I've seen on the system makes its my favorite game on the system.
2) The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - One of a very few number of games that I started playing and kept playing until I 100% completed it. Its a rare game that can hold my attention like that these days, hell I haven't even 100% complete Mario 3D Land. But Zelda loses a few points for being TOO familiar sometimes, I wish it had expanded its overworld just a touch from the SNES days.
3) Shin Megami Tensei - Demon Summoner: Soul Hackers - Probably singlehandedly got me into the JRPG genre. This port form PS1 circa 1998 wears its age on its sleeve, but still manages to impress in terms of story and gameplay. Not to mention just being balls hard sometimes. I'm glad we got it, and I'm glad I played it.

Honorable Mention
Shin Megami Tensei IV - You have no idea how excited I was about this game. I was already hot on Atlus and Shin Megami Tensei coming off Soul Hackers and playing SMT: Strange Journey on the DS. I don't usually preorder games, but I ordered this one. And I played it, and I liked it. But when the newness finally cooled off the truth of the matter is... the gameplay isn't great. The game stats are actually broken (some don't do anything), there are some serious game breaking exploits, and generally the dungeons are poorly designed and/or just boring. BUT. The game oozes style, and has a killer story. Its themes get pretty dark, and its brand of horror/sci-fi just isn't done very often. A for Style. C+ for Game. Just not Top Anything for Game though.

1. Animal Crossing - for all the reasons other people have stated!
2. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is loads of fun and features some of my favorites music! Not to mention the Final Fantasy franchise is my favorite of all time and I love that this game was brought to a Nintendo console. Can't wait for the sequel!
3. New Super Mario Bros. 2 - It was a toss up between this and 3D world. I really hated NSMB2 at first because it didn't feel like anything new. It was all more of the same. But I recently picked it up again and I never want to put it down...The coin collecting is addicting and I love the classic level DLC pack.
4. Mario & Luigi Dream Team - Incredibly fun RPG! Had a blast with this one and it scratched my RPG itch better than I thought it would.
5. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time - One of my favorite games of all time remade beautifully. This is the perfect version!

1) Disney Magical World - I like it because it's like Animal Crossing but I just found it to be better because I feel like there's more to do as opposed to AC where there are days where I get on and there is not a single thing to do.
2) Pushmo series - IDK it just captivated me, the puzzles were interesting and it just looks charming.
3) RE: The Mercenaries 3D - It was just fun to play online, this is a game I wish would have had DLC.
4) Fire Emblem Awakening - They just finally got it right in my book. Also the dating options <3 OMG Kawaii (whatever that means)
5) VVVVVV - Could not put it down I tried but I couldn't even missed school the next day because I stayed up all night and couldn't wake up.
