Also Sony could have paid to make it exclusive. Wouldn't be the first time something like that happened
That reminds me of a story about how Resident Evil 3 came to be...
At the time Capcom was working on two Resident Evil games simultaneously : RE 3 for the DreamCast and RE Nemesis (a spinoff of RE2) for the PS1.
Sony got their hands in and made them remember their exclusivity contract (which made it so they could only release numbered games on the series on their consoles first).
What did Capcom do?
They simply renamed the games, 3 became "Code Veronica" and Nemesis became "3: Nemesis".
At Nicalis prices prices it would end up costing more than SF4 3D (Retail).
I have the PC version which I got in a dojin bundle.
King of the Fighters XIII comes to steam very soon. (And it will be a better version than any of the existing ones due to the original arcade game running on a PC).
Rather have a perfect version of Metal Slug 6 though.

Agreed. Sony's been agressive in aquiring good indie titles.
That said, I wouldn't have wanted it on the 3DS anyways. The D-Pad is poorly placed, making 2D fighting gaming uncomfortable, and the Slider sucks for just about any 2D game I've played. The Vita seems like a better fit for this kind of game. I might pick it up if it's cheap enough, I saw a trailer yesterday, and it looked cool. Way better than that Divekick that recently hit the Vita.

Well it's not like you were forced to buy it anyway....to tell you the truth I have a nice few fighting games on the 3ds (street fighter, blazblue, etc) and all seemed comfortable with the controls.
I got no problem being for the VIta (don't care). My problem is that they announced it a well back for the 3DS and cancel it. Which upset a lot people even more who are fans of the KOF series, since the game was made by ex-developers of SNK.
I feel sorry for the Nintendo gamers who are fans of the game, but it's not a deal breaker. Also, it does sound like a secret buy out from Sony, simply because I know they do that a lot. Nintendo did the right thing to attract more games, simply offer more freedom to the devs, Sony refuses to improve their policies and must instead resort to underhanded tactics. Honestly, if I was a fan of this game, I'd stop being a fan just because of this, a multiplatform release would have been a good decision, but dropping the 3DS version for the Vita version is like choosing to run with the loser of a race.
Friend list is full, I will be clearing room for Bravely Default soon though. Colors! 3D Gallery, My Blog
NNID: KittenKoder ..... what else would it be?
IKR???
First up, they still haven't released Cave Story on the 3DS in Europe, and then when they did release Nightsky in Europe soon after they had an ios version for 10 dollars less, and now this???

How exactly if offering incentives to developers/publishers to put games on their platforms underhanded? This is business, not politics. :/
