Topic: Using SD Card with another 3DS to view 3D photos?

Has anyone ever tried this before?

My friend has a 3DS XL and wants to see some of the pics I made on my own non-3DS XL. Can I just pop out my SD card from my 3DS and put it into his 3DS XL for him to view the 3D pictures?

Will this mess up my own 3DS SD card file-system any (which has my games/saves/etc) or will it work just fine?

...it'd probably be better to use a computer to transfer the files to the other SD card, because the SD card is tied to its system, so the other system probably won't be able to read it properly.

I actually am wondering about this too. In my case - I actually tried this SD-card swap between my 2 3DS units and I noticed that when I put the SD card from the 1st 3DS unit into the 2nd 3DS unit - it gives me a message of "Creating Software Management Information - Do Not Remove SD Card" when the 2nd 3DS first boots up. The 2nd 3DS unit CAN view my 3D photos I made on my 1st 3DS, but obviously doesn't see any games from the 1st unit.

I also checked the SD card on the computer and noted that there is still one "3DS" folder, so the 2nd 3DS didn't create another "3DS" folder.

Still though - I'm not sure if this could mess something up with the 1st 3DS unit's file system if the 2nd 3DS did a "Creating Software Management Information - Do Not Remove SD Card" automatically on it. Frankly - it would be stupid for Nintendo to make its SD card data that easily corruptible for doing simple swaps like this between units. Families with multiple 3DS units probably tinker around with this all the time and I haven't seen any official warning from Nintendo that swapping SD cards between these units can mess it up...

But can anyone confirm if this does anything bad at all?
