What is game is exactly a port then, because either nintendo announced remakes / 3th party developers or totally new games. They are perfectly fine. I rather have the option of a remake or port then no option at all.

So you find 3D gaming gimmicky too? Why don't you go back towards 1D i bet you love it. 2D seems totally gimmicky then. Have you experienced 3D gaming on the 3DS at all? Or are you just throwing out nonsense because some other 2D rpgers told you so? or do you compare it towards a movie kind of 3D? where every 10 sec something pops right in your face? if so you are completely wrong. 3D of the 3DS = adding depth. Which gonna be extremely useful on plat formers etc. But keep telling yourself that its gimmicky, only nobody will care.

Well even flash games became 3D, we aint living anymore in the 90's where 2D was the shizzle. Gaming actually did go further and 3D games if you ask me is the bare minimum. Let the 2D die already. 2D gaming is like a gba slot on your DS. Its fun to have, but it old and aged. They simple just need to drop the support of it on the 3DS. Or let company's throw those games on 3DSware, where you can buy it for 1-5 euro.
Taking 2D as the standard as they did with the DS = ridiculous.
God bless Nintendo for making a 3D system + focus on 3D games. They finally going back to where they started again. Aiming on core gamers. I didn’t liked the DS. I loved the Gameboy range and the GBA. The DS was simple already at its time to weak. The crappy excuse they gave you, that developers need to be creative now was just some excuse for ripping you off with totally aged technology.
the massive amount of 2D games where only the result of weak hardware, developers could get away easily by blaming the DS for its hardware limitation. Nintendo fans believe everything tho. And Nintendo simple laughed right in your face.

Anyway whats wrong with having a Kirby epic yarn game, goldeneye game, Zelda ss game on the 3DS as ports?
I rather have a Zelda game like SS which is developed for tons of years ( and therefor must be a lot deeper on story, graphical level etc ) then some simple spirit track rip-off ugly to hell game.
Same goes for kindom hearts. I rather play kingdom hearts 3 on the 3DS. Then all those horrible recycled worlds spinoffs, that simple do not make any sense if you didn’t played the 10 fillers before it kind of games.
I rather have a kingdom hearts 3, and the next game a kingdom hearts 4. They can make fillers next to it if they want, but I simple won’t be interested for it.

Did you actually played on the DS at all? 99% of the games for the DS atm = shovelware. Serieusly the handheld is overflowing with tons of crappy milky minigame status games. Its just not funny anymore.
The only way to filter throught it is either looking for nitnendo first party games ( which are overal worth it ). Otherwise you end up going throw massive lists of games like:
-grease
pang
janes hotel
floris shop
blend it
The DS is pretty much the n1 on shovelware. Western developers are not even taking whole Nintendo seriously anymore. Why do you think, that games like my garden are created for the 3DS?. The wesetern developers got a overal image of Nintendo. They eat everything lol. Even a simple ping pong game can be sold towards them for 30 euro.
God bless that Nintendo finally is trying to correct what they totally left behind at the last range of DS handhelds.
The whole 3D thing of the 3DS = making development costs higher (hopefully) which hopefully will filter out 90% of those shovel ware trash which the DS ended up with atm.
Hopefully the demo aspect will filter out tons of those games too.

I really do think you are still living in the past, online = the future. If I play a Mario kart game or a animal crossing game. I want to get people to play with me over the internet within 4 touch button clicks; I don’t want to end up throwing out friendcodes etc, searching endlessly on internet for somebody els friend code. Then end up spending 30 minuuts to figure out how crap works etc. No.
I wanna have a option, where i can see who is online for what game, and that I can simple be able to invite people or “they” me.
Besides the whole friendcodes crap.
The only function on previewing trailers in 3D + experience demo’s = a must. Lets not forget about a website that I see on the 3DS, in order to see when what comes out etc.
I never bought a game without playing a demo of it.
Besides this. When I bought my DS and Mario 64. I completed the game. What can I do with it then? Nothing? Exactly you cant do anything els with the whole console. You can only play that game. Unless you buy a second game. And hope that its something that you like.
On the ps3, xbox 360 etc. You got demo’s. You can check everyday if there are new demo’s of games available. This gives you some other things to do on your handheld, without spending directly tons of cash again on games.
Trailers are great fun too, if you can watch them in 3D ofcourse.
The whole online aspect of the 3DS = for me besides nitnendo going finally 3D on handheld part, the biggest part of the whole 3DS why I would go towards a buy.
Like I said already, I simple want demo’s in order to have something to do at all on the handheld.
The online aspect focus simple cant be too much, this needs A LOT of focus.
The first three are big concerns that I can agree with. The others, on the otherhand, aren't that bad. "Too much focus on online"? This is Nintendo we're talking about here. We'll be lucky if they put any focus into it at all, let alone "too much". "Console-like Games"? Seriously? I didn't even know there was a distiction, and I certainly don't see how it's a bad thing. And "Too much Shovelware"? Isn't that inevitable? For every good game, there's always 5 bad ones.
By 3D gimmicks, he's probably referring to games that use 3D even though it's not beneficial or perhaps even detrimental to the gameplay experience. Do you remember when the DS came out and they toted how unique the Touch Screen was, and how every game that came out on the system had to utilize the touch screen in some way, even though it wouldn't work for the specific gameplay style they were going for? I do. I also remember that that's the reason why I no longer have any DS games that came out before 2007.
Uhhh... BATTERY LIFE. It's the only aspect Nintendo beats around the bush about addressing with the 3DS (unlike their past handhelds where they bragged about it). At least a charger is included but there hasn't been a confirmed number of hours the battery lasts so far. Possibly the 3D viewing effect angle as well but you can always just play with the 3D off.
I think he means "games that have horrible/no single player and you have to play online to fully enjoy it" type of games. I'm more worried about friend codes and having to listen to "lol swearing means I'm a grownup!" 12 year olds.
