I bought this. I've played it a few times. It's really hard to get into. They should really have a tutorial of some kind. o.O Pretty damn steep learning curve on this game I'd say, unless you've already played all the Street Fighters. I hope I find the patience to actually get competent at this game.
Really? I found Trial mode sooo tedious. Usually I just play practice mode and set the opponent to CPU and Health to infinite and just keep fighting for a couple of hours,
...How do you get it? Because my 3DS isn't getting the message. Is there an option in SSFIV to let them send notifications?
You have to have wireless on.Put the system in sleep mode. When you encounter a wifi signal Spot pass will commence and you'll get the update. If I'm wrong and that doesn't work try an internet match. I know it was definitely one of those two ways I got the message.
street fighter needs to pull a page out of tekkens book. if u beat an arcade mode on tekken you get a beautiful cutsscene and they are longer than street fighters. tekkken has them all link up. but street fighter offers little reward for wining. oooh well. FAIL
Bought it today I forgot how much I suck at fighters, but the touch screen shortcuts are a real blessing. Visuals are AMAZING, and the controls are super smooth. Over all I like it a lot, and it's a nice change of pace from PilotWings.

when i played this at gamestop the controls felt alot simular to smash bro mele on gamecube. pulling off attacks by comboing the circle pad with one of the a,b,x,y buttons. it feels like a solid attack sytem even though it was my first time playing any street fighter game
This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

It is a very excellent system, hence why it's been copied by nearly every fighting game out there. I hope you get the hang of it if you get the full game.
@moosa Try practice mode and trial. I had trouble at first too but those two modes helped me out a lot. Trial more then practice.
Maybe it's just me, but I have real problems pulling off the combos required to fulfil even the simplest challenges in trial mode. I'll be there for five minutes doing the same two or three moves at different speeds just so it can register that I hit the microsecond that the combo occurs at.
I'm also a little confused as to why all of the characters are available from the start. It would make the game much more replayable if only 20 of them were playable at the beginning, with the rest as unlockables. I'd prefer that much more to some titles and icons, which are ultimately pointless.
