Topic: Regarding NNID on 3DS

Hi, I've recently bought a 3DS and set the region to Canada, accidentally i bought a USA Eshop 35$ card.
Now i want to change my region by deleting the current NNID and replacing for a USA one, is that possible?
I am aware that i will lose all my downloaded games, luckily i haven't bought any, but i have the Mario & Luigi Dream Team pre-installed in my console,am i going to lose it?
After the deleting the current NNID and creating a new one, i will be able to use the Eshop and continue to buy stuff without any problem ?

I'm pretty sure you'll lose Dream Team. Don't delete the NNID, or there's no way you can ever get it back, and if you have the same NNID on a Wii U definitely don't delete it. I think you can just reformat to unlink the NNID from the 3DS and set up a new one. That way if you later decide to go back to the original NNID, you can reformat again and relink your original NNID and you should be able to redownload your Dream Team game associated with that NNID. Honestly though, you might want to just sell the US eShop card and buy Canadian ones if you actually are in Canada.

I'm pretty sure bundled games aren't tied to NNID.
But yeah, Wii U NNID also got deleted if you delete the 3DS one...

Anything that you downloaded after the Miiverse update on 3DS with the NNID will be lost so if you bought Dream Team after that point then I would not delete it. Even if you didn't, I wouldn't risk it. Unfortunately, it seems like that is 35$ down the drain.

I think you'd be better off by selling the Eshop card and trying to get the right one this time around, it'll be safer and might be easier too...

Wait don't US and Canada use the same eShop cards cause they are in the same region or am I missing something?

@Tasuki Since the e-shop uses an actual currency, no points system, and both nations have different currencies, that seems unlikely. I'd say, no.

Pre-installed games are special case.
They are not in your eshop transaction history, so they are safe even if you delete the NNID.
But if it's a bundled game with download code, it's a different story.

can someone answer me this, i hav luigi edition 3ds xl , i am planning to delete my NNID inorder to change the region settings to usa/canada (lived in a foreign country) for the use of eshop and DLC.
1) will my saved file for my physical games will be deleted?
2) will my mario and luigi game that came with the game will be deleted?(haved purchase any game online yet)
3)will i be able to create another NNID for the same console?
4)will all updates from eshop such as pokemon x1.2 update and mario kart update 1.1 be deleted?

1) No. Saved files for physical games are saved on the carts themselves
2) I believe so, because you are effectively deleting the account it was on
3) Yes.
4) Yes, but you can redownload them for free with a new account

thanks for answering me, now i hav questions about the eshop and NNID now, i lived in Guyana(Caribbean) before things like youtube feature and other stuff wasnt available when it was on guyana region , errors pop up and DLC couldnt download like the new one-piece game i bought .
Question 1) which region should set to USA/CAnada?
2) if i set on either one , will i be able to use youtube , netflix and other features regardless i lived outside from those countries?
3) will videos and music be deleted when i delete my NNID?

i already have delete my NNID, and create a new one ,the only thing that was gone from this was the updates , i got the features like youtube, etc now , already got the updates back , the games werent deleted thank god ^_^,
