can i put an item on a pokemon during trade so i can evo the porygon 2 or do i need to back out 1st?

Are there any frisk pokemon in Alola? Hunting for held items is way easier that way.

Funny how Snorlax got outclassed and replaced quickly in the main story, but now that I'm filling the Pokédex, it's the only pokemon I carry around.

An update on my quest for a Politoed.

Today's chain lasted until sunrise, which is when I decided to stop and caught a poliwhirl instead.

But hey, it wasn't all bad, it has its hidden ability, which ia nice I guess.

Yesterday I tried to chain a Bounsweet, but nothing seemed to get rarer about them, they didn't have better IVs or anything. So eventually I just caught a regular one and went to bed (it was like 1 in the morning).

Just finished the pokedex. GTS is a nice thing to have.

Now, for the first shiny I will breed, a shiny sandygast.
I got tired of the 'chaning' method.
I only did it twice and I already got feud up.

@Nintendoer someone has figured out how chains work, the important thing is that you don't start getting bonuses after a few kills, and that the chains overflow and reset after 255.

So, if you go over that number, pokemon will go back to normal. No more perfect IVs, rare abilities, or extra chances of shiny until go back to the required number of kills again.

Is there a way to curb the wild ones from calling in support over and over again? Last night I went through 5 consecutive SOS tag ins.

Put then to sleep.

@Meowpheel So, how many kills until the chances of getting rarer Pokemon are heightened? Cause I probably had around 125 by the time I stopped chaining.

Gonna try chaining it again tonight. Here's hoping it works.

The rare pokemon always have a chance to appear, although some need certain weather/time conditions.

Apparently, the shiny chance is increased after about 70 kills.

@Meowpheel Oh, well then it was probably just my bad luck.

Yes, apparently after 30 you get the abilities and the four perfect ivs I think.

Just remember that after 255, it's as good as ending the battle.

Glad I'm not into the meta data game of Pokemon lol. Dat grind.
