Have any of you struggling with SOS tried out a Smeargle with Leppa berry + Recycle, False Swipe + 2 Filler moves? Its best during post-game if you're attempting to chain for a while. I'm currently building 3 seperate Smeargle that each use Entrainment Spore and Recover.

How would one teach all those moves to a single smeargle.

Honest question. I've never figured out how to properly teach the thing more than one desirable move.

Since each wild one only has one sketch... And finding wild Pokemon with false swipe, spore and recycle is not exactly easy.

I finally got that shiny Bounsweet I wanted. It's really majestic as a Tsareena. Not the greatest stats, but it's still shiny, and you gotta love it for that. It also has Queenly Majesty for its ability, so that's pretty sweet.

Next on my shiny hunting radar is Rockruff, because shiny Lycanroc's blue fur is so awesome looking, but I'll save that for later, probably Saturday. I also want shiny Wishiwashi, so I've got a lot more hours to put into this game (though I already have 64, so I might be a little too addicted).

One thing I really liked about this game is how involved the professor was in the story rather than him/her sitting back at the lab. Kukui is my favorite professor by far.

The Battle of Alola Competition has been pretty interesting to say the least, most of my matches have been either myself sweeping the whole team or vice versa. Though I did have roughly 2-3 actual close matches where my team won with barely any hp left. Two pokemon in particular that have been the mvps of my team is Alolan Muk and Garchomp, the former being very bulky while the latter is good at sweeps. I noticed that the Tapu have been pretty popular choices for this, for the most part they aren't too tough to deal with. Though Tapu Koko in particular is very fast which can be annoying.

@Meowpheel Never tried myself, but I read around that you can use wild Smeargles, use against them the move you need so that they can sketch it and then just pull out your smeargle for sketch it again.

Ugh, I still don't know why these Battle things can't have online multiplayer. No one I know in person care about these games...it would make earning BP a lot easier.

Speaking of Smeargle, does Protect and Detect work together? Or do they count them as the same move? I never tried it in the past, only thing I did was Lock-On/Mind Reader and one of the One-Shot moves. xD

The work on the same counter. I think all similar moves do.

If not... Can you imagine a battle agaisnt a smeargle with detect, protect, the one that poisons you and spiky shield?

Would be funny and infuriating at the same time. xp

EDIT: Also, we need a Mega Smeargle, with the ability Sketch. Which permanently sketches the opponent's ability when Smeargle mega evolves. lol

I finally caught that darn Politoed. By chaining petilil, of all things.

I also got Slowking from the GTS. Totodile failed as a lure for it, bit beast ball beldum worked like a charm.

I'm almost done with the normal 'mons of the Pokédex, after that, I'll work on getting the tapus, the other ultra beasts... Three cosmogs... Two type nulls... Darn living Dex.

people on GTS all want scizor and milotic . . .

@Meowpheel Can't you bring a Smeargle to a double battle and hit it with the desired move with your other Pokémon?

@emaan Fairer trades are hard to find in the GTS cause they are accepted very quickly, you gonna have a much better luck by be the one offering the fair trade then the one searching for it.

So Junichi Masuda has a wait and see approach to the Switch. Okay. Can we replace him already?

Ive mentioned his bone headed ideas before, and even Game Freaks not Pokemon works are often taken as far from Nintendo as possible, but come on. It can function as a handheld. You can still take it out.

He seems to forget Pokemon helped shift loads of Game Boys. DS. 3DS. Even after Sun and Moon, 5 years into the system there was still a sales spike. And he rhinks the system sells Pokemon? Come on Masuda, Im quickly thinking you need a Wake-Up Slap to see how the franchise you are contracted to develop works.
