So, Chargabug evolves when it levels up in the canyon.
... That explains why it took so long...
Also, apparently EV training is ridiculously easy this gen.
The power items now make the pokemon always get 8 effort points in their corresponding stat... And sos battles make the points double with every help call.
@Meowpheel Its why it gets multiscale. Sorry. Shadow Shield.
Gotta say one thing thats driven me nuts this gen is Pokemon and spelling.
Battle Royale Game Freak. You can still do the Masked Royal pun. Then we have the obsolete spelling of Sun and Moon in Sunne and Moone.
And finally it always drove me nuts how they spell "Forme". But now they use both. Forme and form because in Japan there are two different words. One is "visible difference" and the other is "change" or something like that.
Game Freak and the letter E. Its like America and the letter U.

@Joeynator3000 Wishwashi not the totem but the 2nd encounter before the Totem drove me up the wall. I kept killing one and another would take it's place spent probably 10 minutes on it
Doing some brutal fishing grinding right now for a Alomomola probably been at it for 2 hours now. Grass grinding is far easy from my experience it never took me this long for 1 percent Pokemon like Bagon and Kangaskhan. I probably should just move on but this is my play style for Sun to get every Pokemon i can in the area before leaving although with this one i did leave just noticed i had to be in the Totem's Den for it.
@Meowpheel Totem's Den i just kept going in and out of the entrance and the bubbling reappears did the same for Route 8 for Chinchou kept entering and exiting this building near a fishing spot and actually got it around the 4th try. Good thing about doing all this fishing the Pearls and Big Pearls easy money.I'll try the soft reset after googling it see which is faster.
@canucksfan989 the bubbles raise the encounter rates for the rare fishies to 5-20% (depends on what you want to catch) and softresetting usually takes like 10s until you pull out the rod (snickers) again on a New 3DS (not sure if there's a difference on the older models)
I think leaving and reentering an area to reset the bubbles is only faster in one area (Seafolk Village on Poni Island) because most spots are either relatively far from area entrances or require you to get back on Lapras first.
Money shouldn't be your biggest concern when you do that stuff. I never really "grinded" for that by getting pearls and the likes and I'm still sitting at more than 600k because of a certain post game quest's reward ^^
There's one ripple spot in Melemele Sea that's pretty close to Rt. 1 (the one in between the rocks), that one's close enough to reset as well. It's a good spot for trying to catch Mareanie.
Yeah soft resetting is way quicker good to know going forward. My luck in the grass continues barely spent 10 minutes in the Lush Jungle for Pinsir, Comfey and Passimian. Even ran into a female Salandit which in turn got me a Stufful via GTS needed a 2nd one for the trade i think on Poni Island. I like the different methods of finding and catching Pokemon compared to past games like Wimpod on Route 8 needing to go around to block it's escape and to not let it go below 50 percent hp or else it runs away.
@Octane I've heard that you can get infinite beast balls, one at a time, from Looker if you don't have any in your inventory at present (i.e.: attach them to Pokemon).
