Now that the game is less than a month away, what are you choosing to play as and what is your partner going to be?

You can't choose your starter in this game, the 3ds chooses for you. My partner will be pikachu or axew though

Actually the quiz in the beginning has been removed and you choose both yourself and your partner. This video shows that you choose both. I apologize for the slight spoilers.

I really liked the quiz >_<. It made it so much more fun, because I wouldn't know what I would get to be.

I always got pikachu from it unless i rigged it where i could choose any starter, which i did after playing and restarting the game. I have fully beaten explorers of sky with every starter because i love that game so much.

I am so pumped for this game! Going to try the demo before I decide for sure, but I'm PRETTY positive I WILL be getting it. I am all about Roguelikes and the Mystery Dungeon series!

I'm going to be a snivy and my partner will be an oshawott.

Considering how PMD Red changed my real life after a bad life before them, I'm going to make a honorary tribute to my original team, by naming my partner Lillian and my team "KIPTEAM".

I will be pikachu and my partner will be snivy.

I'm going to be Pikachu, and my partner will be Axew or Oshawott, I'm undecided~

Does anyone know if you can have other region starter types as your pokemon?

You can't, there are only 5 starters this time around.

The starters are: Tepig, Snivy, Oshawott, Pikachu, and Axew. Pretty cool that there's a dragon starter this time around, I love dragon types!

Anybody else playing the demo right now? I must say I am LOVING this game! I knew I would, but it's nice to know for sure!

I've started the demo and I am enjoying it. I am an Axew named Miyamoto, and my partner is a Snivy named Lafayette. You can see that I'm having fun with names.

I think so, it said it beginning of the game, as long as you don't delete the demo.

Ok, it doesn't matter much to me anyways, but it would be nice to just be able to jump in on launch day and skip the intros.
