Topic: New 3DS XL microSD keeps popping out!

So I bought a New 3DS XL on Friday off eBay (used but in good condition)
To future proof it, I bought a 32GB SanDisk Extreme microSDHC off Amazon (new).
I tried replacing the OEM microSD with the SanDisk but it just keeps popping out:

Makes it impossible to save and stuff.
I checked around, another guy on reddit had the same issue and people thinks it's a defect.
Some said trying to keep it jammed in with some paper, but I tried that and it still pops out.

I'm trying to return it to the seller, but he's saying it's my fault. Am I in the wrong here?
On a side note, have anyone else had this problem or know a solution that doesn't involve superglue?

Thanks.

Have you tried other cards? If so, then all you can do is to get it fixed from Nintendo. If its brand new, then it won't be a problem because they will fix it for free.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

Well, you like have to wait till then. Or call them and see if it works. The number is on the box of the new 3ds xl in case you're wondering.

Looks like the system might be defective.

Actually, my old PSP did the same thing, to solve it I had to cut the tip of a tie wrap to wedge the card into the slot.

Maybe that could work? Or more paper.

@Other_Dave: Thanks for the link. I tried contacting them over email, but it came up with a page saying "The apge you requested cannot be found."

@Morpheel By tie wrap do you mean cable tie? I'll give it a go, but I don't want to damage anything further because I'm trying to return it.

A small piece of paper, folded and inserted with the micro SD card (ensuring you are not covering the connectors) seems to work well. Have the same problem on a Switch. Tape into place.

I got the Ambassador New 3DS when it came out and this started happening to me almost immediately. I should have returned it under warranty, but didn't (i didn't want to be without my 3DS or lose any data). I glued a small bit of wood in front of the card, so it couldn't move. It's been like that for the last 2years+
