Victini took his spot in the Pokedex so he's in the system memory now!
Here it is. It can't be deleted. The save data (or Extra data) seems to be intact. But this ? block appears very very briefly in the menu where Netflix was- like a small flash (an outline, simply).
I'm sure it's not going to harm the system. Plus it doesn't even take up any blocks. (it says o.) Unless the system starts acting up I don't think you need to freak out or call Nintendo.
It's kinda funny. What partly concerns me is that it cannot be deleted. It's like a Bad Egg in the Pokémon games.
I'm going to try to get rid of it on my computer, hopefully.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot... This crap deleted my saves in LoZ DX, Kirby and Donkey Kong... and probably Pokedex D:
Excite Bike 3D.. Eh, I don't mind much. But this sucks. At least I beat LoZ and Kirby- well, Kirby isn't a big deal, but still. I was kinda far in DK But I beat the game on my original Gameboy.
I suspected that when Netflix said the 3DS app wasn't ready... Well, maybe because this is the reason. And then people complain "Oh my god! Where is Netflix? Why are you taking long, Nintendo?!" and then this comes out "Wow. Nintendo. Release something that isn't ready! So like you!"
.... Yeah, there's loads of people like this They say one thing, and then go back on it. Uh oh, I'm on the verge of ranting!
I'd also like to note a couple of other things about the 3DS version of Netflix that I am enjoying so far: 1.) Subtitles. I believe I read somewhere recently that Netflix had come under fire for not offering subtitles for the hearing impaired. This has apparently been remedied for the 3DS version and will likely carry over to the other devices (if it hasn't already.)
Subtitle and audio options have been on Wiiflix for a while now.
Yeah Subtitles have been available for a long time. Where have you been?

I removed the SD Card before going to the eShop (because it seems if I had the SD Card in, it would give me that black screen). Turns out when I tried downloading Netflix again, it wanted to send me to Data Management and told me that the Files on the SD Card were corrupted. So, everything seems fine now. Just not my precious saves I had on my SD Card... And possibly even the music on it.
In short: that blurb in the press release wasn't what it seemed to be, and there are no real plans for 3D content via Netflix.
...which defeats the only possible purpose for me, since that was the one thing the 3DS might do better than any other device I own, all of which can stream 2D videos in much higher quality.
Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense. Wii FC: 8378 9716 1696 8633 || "How can mushrooms give you extra life? Get the green ones." -
That's too bad about the saves for komicturtle. Interesting that downloading Netflix resulted in corruption of your files. That is what Netflix sometimes causes to happen on the Wii as well, where it locks the Wii on program exit, usually with a "system files corrupted" error. With the Wii, the only way I know of to correct the problem is to reformat your system which results in the loss of WiFi games' save data. For me that meant erasing my daughter's Animal Crossing town that she had "lived" in for the past 2 years. Ouch. The 3DS version of this seems annoyingly similar. I hope it is very rare.
I am not a number, I am a free man! Er, except on my 3DS - 3308-4553-9848
I have Netflix on Wii (had it on disc first) and I've never gotten those lock-ups. Ever since my 3DS reformatted my SD card and I redownloaded Netflix, things are working fine. Not like I had so much data on my SD card- I could easily get my music and photos back since I backed them up awhile ago. Before I consider redownloading some stuff, I'll wait for Nintendo to throw out an update to resolve issues and hopefully things will be working without much worry.
I really hope companies do not listen to consumers because they are always wrong. They don't get it when something isn't ready. Personally, I was in no rush to have Netflix on 3DS, but I did download it soon after it was released, just to get it out of the way.
No 3D movies from Netflix That's great news for those who don't like the quality of viewing Netflix on your 3DS.
Better having Nintendo to take care of sending 3D movies for us than Netflix. (BTW I don't have problems with Netflix on my 3DS. It depends of what I'm watching)
I think the quality depends on what you're watching and your internet connection. Was watching some movies near my router and it was pretty clear. Away from it, it was almost like watching a decent youtube video. But I don't care, really. I like having to watch a movie on my 3DS on my bed when I'm ready to go to sleep instead of my laptop.
