Hi there... I bought 3 3DS eshop cards, and began to scratch them off. Here's the bad part: My aunt thought it would be a EXCELLENT idea to use the edge of her key to get the code. Guess what happened. THE FRIGGEN FIRST HALF TORE OFF! Now all I have is a 6 digit code that I don't know the beginning of. How do I find out the first part of it? Please help, as I really want the last 20 on my 3DS and not thrown away!

They can't do anything. It says that on the back.

Hm, so there's no way you can work out what the code was?
Maybe Nintendo would be able to assist you if you give them a call, not too sure.

Edit: Never mind, I was too slow.

On the other 2, the first five digits were always the same, entering those in plus what was left of the card did nothing.

You could ask the retailer. Or, you could always try Chuck Norris. :3

My retailer was target, but the card says they can do nothing either. Anyone know of a site that gives out ESHOP numbers?

@TheDreamingHawk I don't think that'd be legal...

Sounds like the cards are a pretty poor design.
Easy to lose your code and then nobody can do anything about it.

I'd recommend giving Nintendo a call anyway, just to see if there's anything at all that can be done, but besides from that it sounds like you've probably just thrown away $20 unfortunately.

Well with quarters they work great, but when you use a house key... No

It might say that NIntendo can't do anything on the back of the card, but try calling them anyway. You'll never know for sure if you don't try.

Oh i totally understand your pain.

Recently i purchased a Wii points card and while i was doing some things,my mother used the house keys to "Help".

Try calling Nintendo,i doubt they'll do anything,but it never hurts to try,i didn't do anything with my problem though,i only managed to make out like 4 or 5 numbers.

Well my aunt won't let me call them, saying that she will buy me a new one instead.

So I guess it's OK to lock.
