@Smooothhh Well have fun, we only told you that you couldn't advertise and then you made a big fuss out of it, and what you called me, makes me wonder if that's truly you then it is to me....think about that for a second.

Ah Guard Pointing. So easy and yet so hard. I have come at point where I am good enough to do quite some GPs, but still unreliable enough to mess it up at crucial moments giving me deaths. And the bad part is that I have gotten somewhat used to them and I forget the part that I can regular guard >.<

So missed GPs are super painful at G-special....

I was having a hard time with Silver Rath and GPs saved me. Against Gold Rath however they doomed me. Fireballs and Tail Flips everywhere.... yea my failed GPs (and lack of guards) got me. Just resorted to IG for it.

And Full GX Crimson is nothing much except that huge defense

I might be grinding some quests this week, so hopefully some people are around to make it more enjoyable!

Hmm I guess. Guess I am just too used to sets with Challenger + 2.... It went from a skill that I rarely used, to a set on almost all my sets >.<

Arcana is pretty cool actually, and Honed Blade as well. Guess the set is not bad although it forces Guts on you instead of a more offensive skill. Rock Steady is pretty darn cool except it isn't medium earplugs anymore AND it is not unshakeable like the name says xD

Got this for my son yesterday and it really feels like teaching MH4U 401 lol. He's doing great so far and I'm really trying to dumb all my equipment down to his level and then some. So far neither of us have died in about 5 to 6 hours of play. I think I was more excited to get this for him then he was to play it!

Am I the only one who asks for hunts? xD

It's quite quiet in here....

My interest actually sorta got invigorated because of new mixed sets, picking up the bow, SnS and a few other weps I didn't try in 4U yet.

My university vacations just started though so I am just lazing around, haven't really played much these days. Trying a bit of 3U with my sister, just to get those final awards.

I do have some games to finish but MH is always ongoing xD

New to 3ds gaming, i have no prior knowledge of or how to play MH, should i grab a copy of a previous version or wait for the new MH coming out?

I personally would get 3U as I think it's still on sale now. I'm teaching my son how to play as of this week and learning the game will take plenty of time. Once you learn the game mechanics and gameplay it pretty much carries over to the other game. Yes there will be new things to learn in newer version but it won't be nearly as much and it will feel far better knowing what you do from 3U.

Just my opinion but the next best option would be to wait for Generations and find a good few people here to help you along as it will be quite popular for about 5 to 6 months after release.

Well the problem with 3U, despite it being an an excellent start to Monster Hunter, is that it has no online play on the 3DS, just local play. Only the Wii U version has online play. So just a heads up, although the game is perfectly solo-able and I myself did that, with occasional local play.

So no one was online after all? I thought someone would be posting a room today xD

I was on for a bit, then started playing Xenoblade, I can get back online in an hour/hour and a half if anyone is around then ^^
