@nacho_chicken HR1 is High Rank, right? Isn't that way ahead of me? I haven't done any Guild Quests yet. If you still want to hunt we totally can though.
Hey all, I'd love to get in on some hunts too. This is my first MH game and I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I'm almost done with the 3 star quests. So let me know if you don't mind a beginner hunting along with you.
We've made about the same progress, then. I don't mind
HR1 just means Hunter Rank 1, it's not high rank, just the first rank. You're probably HR1 too.
Ah. Right. It's been a while.
Anyway, I just completed a full Tetsucabra armor set and beat a Gycepros.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
I never noticed a difference carrying eggs. If anything, we can probably drop from higher up without dropping them due to the new verticality aspect.
You can drop a bit, but for some reason the egg breaks either after awhile. I think I broke at least four or five eggs. The first one was in area 1 right after the first step up, but enough after it to know that it wasn't the step that made the break. Maybe there is a random durability in the eggs.

My internet died a few hours ago and it's in the process of being fixed, and it might take hours or days according to the person on the phone.... So I may not be able to play today, sorry @Undead_Terror :/
@TeeJay Cool. Sounds good. Also, I'm struggling to just to get a full set of Jaggi armor, I'm impressed you've already got a Tetsucabra set! What's the best way to go about getting complete sets? Do you redo quests where you have to hunt that particular monster to get that set?

Yeah you just gotta grind and beat the same monster multiple times if you want their set. Sometimes you need to break off pieces of the monster to get specific parts you need and that may take several tries.

A friend of mine is trying to get into the series, and he's started with the 4U demo. He thinks it's fun, but I tell him the game is more than just hunting monsters, like the demo implies it is. He said he is waiting until he gets a n3DS though because he doesn't like using the virtual d-pad. And he won't be getting one of those until they release more colored systems or maybe a Xenoblade themed system. I think those are bound to happen, maybe we'll see those in either March or April.

As for myself, I'm returning from 3U to this one. I've not made much progress in the story, but I've spent most of my 21 hours of gameplay simply grinding for elemental SnS weapons.

I don't think so. Normally, I would run the whole way and walk right before being forced to slow down. There was at least one time where I was walking and I t broke.
