Whoohoo, I just beat Ceadeus! On the one hand, it wasn't all that hard and it moved pretty slowly, but on the other hand, it was huge, did a lot of damage, and was just a pain when using a heavy bowgun.

Well, time for those High-rank quests, now!

Keep telling myself to finish offline, but always end up playing online I really want to fight the alatreon and don't want to go do every single quest... eventually i get there but for now ill play online :3

Finally got the Azure Rathalos armor set(with Zinogre braces). If only I had one more A.Rathalos tail to make the braces- but I don't want to grind any more just for one part.

I'm at the Mark of a Hero quest offline. The very final village quest, and I have to kill a G-Rank Ivory Lagiacrus, then Brachydios and Azure Rathalos at the same time.. yikes.

I cant find kings beak. I need it to upgrade my great sword.

kings beak is a 50% chance item if you break a great wroggi's face before you kill it.

You need to break the Great Wroggi's poison sac.

How do I break its ball sac? Do I hit it when its calling out to others?

But I have no idea where to find G Jaggie claw+ and G Jaggie hide+.

is this a good game for a newcomer to the Monster Hunter series? i have Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on my psp but only played a bit of the tutorial. i just don't like the way the psp feels in my hands. so should i get this?

I'd recommend it if you find the 3DS more comfortable to hold than the PSP. All of my hunting group are new to the series with MH3U and we're really enjoying the game so far.

It's definitely the best choice. I have played two Monster Hunter on the PSP(one of which was unite) and gave up on both of them because I found them brutally hard. I wasn't interested at all about the 3DS one, but the demo convinced me to give it a chance and I have played it for 120 hours and I'll probably play it for 120 more. It's much easier and much more manageable. The lock on feature makes hunting a joy and the difficulty curve is very good.

Hey fellow tri running mate!

Loving it so far but I held off on playing for a while so I could use my cpp! Now that I have it I really want any new armor or weapons I never got or was able to get from all these new monsters!!

I'm loving the game (60+ hours in so far)!

But, I was a huge fan of Monster Hunter Tri, and so naturally I like MH3U. It was the only title I had on my gaming radar for quite some time.

I bought it day 1 and it has consumed me... I've played it for 160+ hours and I am just before accessing G-Rank. So I'll probably play it for another 160, easily- it's an amazing game!

This game has consumed most of my freetime, my other lifestyle activities are lessen. I've played it for 150+ hours and still counting, I'm the type of guy who always goes for 100% completion of the game, but maybe not with this (I need sleep!!).

You guys having trouble getting that Brachydios gem/ruby? Dang, I need to upgrade my slime Axe!! Aside from the 15 other Axes i'm upgrading.
