I can compete on retro tracks, but I need to play single player more before I have a chance against TJ in the new ones. I also tend to do worse with more players... I either suck at using items or people just like to hit me. I am not yet ready to discard the latter possibility.

@BenAV Nooooooooooooooooo!!! First person I've lost to on the NLife community! You really are great though, you should get online more! I bet you could knock Tristen off the top spot!
yeah... no one's knocking TJ off that top spot :3
We must all get together, ban TJ and earn points until we outscore him

The 3DS is clearly not build for people with long fingers or big hands. I didn't realize it until Ihad to constantly use the shoulder buttons. Yesterday after a bit of playing this game I started sufferiing from severe hand pain and eventually lost all feeling in my thumb.
It seems a lot of people are suffering from the same pain. I found that switching from the "A" button to the "Y" button for accelerate helps a ton. It takes pressure of the rigid corner off your palm and puts your hand in a more natural state. Hope this helps, it made it a lot better for me.
Dayumn. First thing I'm doing when I pick it up today. You doing okay now bro?

Another solution is to play the game for a while

I think we can all agree this Mario Kart has the best music in the series! :3
I disagree, there are some pretty good songs in this game but there are better songs in the series. Nothing in this game is as good as the music in MKW Rainbow road.
Now that I've played all the courses, here are my favourites: New cups: Mushroom cup - Daisy hills, second is Shyguy bazaar Flower cup - Alpine pass, second is Wuhu island loop Star cup - Piranha plant pipeway, second is Koopa city Special cup - This cup as a whole is awesome but my favourite is Rainbow road with Bowswer's castle in second Retro cups: Shell cup - Mushroom gorge Banana cup - Walugi pinball, second is Coconut mall Leaf cup - Daisy cruiser, second is Maple treeway Lightning cup - Airship fortress, second is Koopa cape New battle courses - Honeybee house Retro battle courses - Palm shore
I love how they made Rosalina a Heavy class character. Must be that thick booty.
I was looking forward to unlocking Rosalina most, but I don't do as well with the heavy characters. Also it was more fun playing her on Mario Kart Wii, mostly for watching her do tricks on the bike
I struggled with this game at first, but now I am getting a bit better. I have unlocked 6 characters & am coming somewhere in the middle rather than last online.

I prefer the heavy characters, so I was quite happy that they classed Rosalina as heavy in MKWii. The relative weight contributions of her booty and her luma, however, are beyond my expertise.
Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense. Wii FC: 8378 9716 1696 8633 || "How can mushrooms give you extra life? Get the green ones." -
I think on 50cc you usually get 1 per race, on 100cc 2 or 3 per race, and on 150cc 3 or (sometimes) 4 per race. Also, from my experience, in first place you have about a 10% chance of getting a mushroom, so you might be able to dodge 1 blue per race; if you're good at blue shell dodging you should expect to get hit anywhere from 2-4 times on 150cc.
If the 3DS has not been discontinued SM3DL and MK7 are awesome games, but if the 3DS has been discontinued Sony has taken over the world. It is not true that both Sony has taken over the world and SM3DL and MK7 are not awesome games. Therefore:Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 are...
I kinda like the new weight distribution in MK7, allowing for Light/Middle or Heavy/Middle characters. To that end, here is the list for those who don't yet know:
Lightweight: Toad, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Lakitu, Mii (short & thin) Mid-Lightweight: Peach, Yoshi, Daisy, Mii (short or thin) Middleweight: Mario, Luigi, Mii (neutral; short and buff; or tall and thin) Mid-Heavyweight: Donkey Kong, Rosalina, Wiggler, Mii (tall or buff) Heavyweight: Bowser, Wario, Metal Mario, Honey Queen, Mii (tall and buff)
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata recently held a state of the union with Japanese newspaper Nikkei (via Andriasang) for the company's performance in its home country. Mario Kart 7, which launched on December 1, has done quite well. In its first week on retail shelves, the game sold a whopping 420,000 copies, almost double the first-week performance sales of Mario Kart DS back in 2005. And, according to Iwata, the game did even better abroad, though we kinda already knew that.
Despite suffering through a lackluster launch, Nintendo's latest handheld is set to reach the three million sold mark two weeks faster than the original DS did, Iwata said. Thanks, price cut! He expects the 3DS to hit four million before its one year anniversary on February 26.

They should've swapped Wario's class with DK, but I like the new classifications too!
Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?
