I agree, it may not have been as good as its predecessor but its still a great game.

Gamestop is selling it for $40 used but Toys R Us has it for $30 new.. lol

I noticed that in the Balloon Battle footage the balloon colors are different. Usually they are red and blue to signify teams, but in the footage I see pink, yellow, white, black, red, etc. I wonder if this means we'll be able to have more than two teams or choose the colors for our teams.

Yeah I noticed that too. It pissed me off so much that I just left it the way it was and walked out.

As others have mentioned, that most likely means that the free-for-all balloon battle is back, so there are no teams. But it looks like it's still based on a points system rather than being a survival race.

But I like survival more

Btw, did anyone notice that when Mario throws the Bob-omb it starts walking at around 0:21.

@AtomicOtaku - Actually, I did notice that as well. I'm not sure why they would make it walk but I don't know how I feel about it, because if you threw it to the side of a race track, it may just walk off. That probably won't happen, though, but I've had enough bad luck in trying to hit someone with the Bob-omb before. :T

I noticed that. It's actually a nice little addition.

Why don't the characters use the SMW cape to glide? A missed opportunity I reckon.

Because that's what the gliders are for? :/

I've played the game for a bit during an event at my local supermarket (it was the same demo as Japan expo's) and I noticed too the walking Bob-Omb and also, I really digg the real strategic opportunities the glider and the propeller give. I already noticed it back than, but replaying it really cemented my feelings toward this game and it really is gonna be excellent. The changes are subtle, but they really change the gameplay ^^

I think it may cause a small problem but who knows it might just work

The Tanooki tail looks great for Battle mode. Way more useful for general purposes in battle mode than in a standard race, because you're more likely to be running into other players.
