Yesterday was my 18th birthday, I got Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, and Mercenaries 3D. I was also supposed to get a New 3DS XL to play them on, I was looking forward to playing both games and owning a 3DS. But of course, I couldn't find a New 3DS XL to play them on. I spent half of my day looking at stores, Game Stop, Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, Best Buy, all sold out. So I got games for a system I don't have. I asked around, nobody knows when their getting restocked on them. It was the worst feeling, does anybody know where I can get a New 3DS XL??? I cant even find them on Ebay or Amazon.
For future reference, even if you're not sure if you want a console, preorder anyway. Put the minimum amount of money to secure one. You can always cancel.
Not sure what you can do now other than keep looking, sorry...

@TeeJay, Yeah, I should have been more organized and clever about it, I didn't realize though they'd be sold out in two days of being on the racks. Guess they are more popular than I thought.

My 3ds died last night, so I went to go get a New 3ds and they were sold out everywhere, so I just got the NES Edition of the XL instead.
@Amiibo, I would get a XL, but only if I can't find a New 3DS XL. Sorry about your 3DS dying, hope you have fun with your new one. By the way, what are some essential 3DS games?

Best Buy has them in stock online. The black one. And your local Walmart should have some in stock too if you want to check there in person (that's where I got mine on launch night).

I had Fire Emblem: Awakening for a long time before I finally got a 3DSXL...waited until they had a black one.
