Topic: How much longer?

How much longer before the 3ds Xl and 2ds Xl become obsolete? Will they close the store down completely and make it obsolete or where is this going?

@Skylea95 I believe the 3DS cycle is officially done away with honestly, and a few more years it’ll just be remembered like the gameboy

@Skylea95 Last year was the final year of support for the Nintendo 3DS. So it's obsolete in the sense that it won't be receiving any major support going forward from Nintendo or any notable third party developers.

Your games will still work. The servers are still online. And, honestly, there's not a lot of reason to expect the 3DS eshop to become inaccessible any time in the near future.

Go play and enjoy your 3DS, but Nintendo's support for the device is pretty much officially over.
