Foreign Credit Card on NA eShop - Nintendo 3DS Forum

Hey guys, I'm sure some of you are familiar with me and my previous post regarding the NA eShop. Well, I'm back again hoping to find a solution to some misunderstandings... I curently have only access to NA eShop as my 3DS XL is region locked there, but I currently live in New Zealand. I'm sure you know that the US eShop only accepts American credit cards. Well, I found this post here saying otherwise: http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/blog/26572 Now, since my credit card is based in New Zealand, will doing what the person did in that post also work for me (Australia and New Zealand are right next to each other and have a fair amount of similarities)? In my previous post, someone suggested changing my location to Canada so that I can access the Canadian eShop due to it accepting also non-American credit cards. Would this also work? Thanks, again! :D

You can set your Region to Canada and use any card you like afaik. (Or buy codes from Play Asia - They are always in stock).

Or you can get a "US unlocked" virtual card.

It is not really evading tax either because they don't tax exports and for the e.g the UK you pay no tax on transactions less than £15 so just doing transactions less than that is totally ok. It is tax avoidance in that case but still totally legal. (Same as when Amazon etc do it). Most of the legitimate drop shipping companies that ship to Australia are in Oregon or Alaska and provide a perfectly legal service to Australia acquiring US goods for them.
