Topic: Fire Emblem Kakusei (Awakening)

Wimp! Naw I'm kidding. I'll probably play though on normal first myself just to get the hang of things. It's actually been quite some time since I've been this excited for an upcoming game.

I'm playing through my first run on Casual Mode. Being a newcomer to Fire Emblem, I don't want to risk slashing the experience because of frustration and difficulty reasons.

I'm going to go ahead and risk my first ever play and go the original permanent death way. Could always use a challenge every once in a while.

There is 4 page advertisement in the new GI. Pretty cool.

I wish I would get my mag in the mail already!

I'm playing it on hard with permanent death of course. I'm not going to go back and re due any maps where I lose someone. This might get interesting!

Also. What's up with the starting name of Robin?!?! That has to be the wimpest hero name I've ever heard. After all I don't think there is a batman in this game is there?!

I have to admit when Krom asked if my character's name was foreign (which was my username, WingedFish), I busted out laughing. In fact a lot of the conversations just from what I've seen in the demo are quite hilarious.

There is a class called Dark Knight, they can use magic and swords.

No, it's Miriel, Ricken, Tharja, or Henry, they can all premote to Dark Knights naturally, but a few other people can use a change seal to turn into one, or a class that can turn into one.
Cecil is a Swordmaster.

I must say my plans to go Lunatic and Classic first run is looking like foolishness. I've only beat the first on Lunatic a few times and only about half of them had full party survival. This is going to be so fun but hard, I'm not sure if Chapter 1 can be beat by me on the demo going Lunatic yet but hard is too easy.

I will always play with Permadeath on. FE has always been that way, so I gotta stick to the roots. Seems like there isnt much strategy on casual mode as you can just rush through and have all your guys safe and sound at the end of battle. Though its too early to tell. Maybe they made it so you cant just rush through like that
