Hey! I want some 3DS games for my birthday, and I've decided to get Awakening. Is the game hard or confusing? Is levelling up and the weapon forging confusing as well? Please answer as quick as possible, thanks!

it's super simple!
all you need to know can be checked any time in case you forget something and the casual mode makes it a breeze to beat(except in Lunatic/Lunatic + then it'll be hard no matter if you play classic or casual) it's definitely the most accessible Fire Emblem game in terms of difficulty and complexity!

goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

It's hard if you want it to be. I didn't find it confusing, but you can't be absent-minded though.

Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

There are multiple difficulty levels to choose from, and you can play on Casual mode (if you're the kind of person who doesn't like fun ). Joking, but seriously Casual mode means that losing and mistakes have no repercussions, so play on that if you'd prefer that experience.

As for whether or not it's confusing - I'd say definitely not. It guides you into the mechanics slowly enough and isn't overly complex in general. Learning how to play is not an issue at all, its just choosing a good strategy where experience comes into it.

If you're on the fence there's a free demo you can download for it on the eShop which will give you a pretty good idea of what it's like.

I recently purchased as my first Fire Emblem game and very quickly figured how everything worked and what everything means. I wouldn't say it's confusing and I would recommend playing classic mode.

The gameplay is quite streamlined and it has a lot of in-game tutorials that you can read at any time if you ever get lost. There is depth to it for sure, but the game is about as easy or hard as you want it to be, and complex strategy only becomes necessary if you make the game hard.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

It's easy to understand, but challenges you by putting your understanding of the comparably simple rules and mechanics to the test on many occasions. It's definitely not the hardest Fire Emblem title, but probably one of the best to get into.

Its a very accessible game if you ask me. At first it took sometime to get used to it since Awakening is the first tactical RPG game I've played and is easily one of my favorite games of all time! Its structure is quite simple once you master the basics of the game.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I will get the game. So excited!

Also, thanks to @Geonjaha for the informing me on the demo. Definitely going to check that out now!

It's one of the least confusing games I've ever played. It's an absolute masterpiece of game design, in the sense that you can just follow your intuition about how to most things, and it always seems to be correct.
You can accomplish an action in about 2 button presses that took about 5 button presses in Final Fantasy Tactics.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Its not confusing, it just requires strategic knowledge. As for difficulty, its only as hard as you want it.

"They played us like a damn fiddle!" - MGS5
"Finish your mission, prove your loyalty." - MGS3
"We could take a s*** on you from such a height, you'd think God himself has crapped on you!" - GTA: SA
Currently Playing: The Phantom Pain.

It was my first venture into the series and I loved it. My first playthru was normal classic. I wanted to have the real Fire Emblem experience. Fantastic game.
