Topic: Crystal Warriors

SInce this game is schedule for release, I wanted to know if someone knows of that game. From what I have read, it is describe as being one the first RPG released on the Game Gear. So is it a buy or a pass? Thanks.

It's a strategy game more than RPG, I think.

Before the battle beigns, you can choose up to 9 of your available warriors to participate, or, if you have less than 9 warriors, all of them will participate. A battle ends when all of the enemies have fallen, or in some cases, when the boss enemy has been defeated. If Iris is killed in battle, the game ends and returns to the title screen. When any other ally is killed in battle, they are gone permanently, so it's important to keep powerful characters healthy.

Characters in Crystal Warriors only gain experience when they kill an enemy or a neutral monster. Kills are worth 4 stars. A character gains a level when they have 10 stars, and extra stars will carry over toward the next level. The maximum level is 9.

Crystal Warriors is a fairly difficult game.
seems like a VERY VERY SHORT but very hard game game

It probably coming out this week because based on their Game Gear list, they are releasing 4 GG per week. Each week has an RPG/Strategy game.

would of got it BUT project x zone comes weds and will probally suck up all of my time (though there still is a chance)

Honestly, one look at the graphics of this game, and I instantly decided I will be buying it. Honestly it could be horrible, but it just looks so damn cute. Definitely going to get this one right away.

At least Crystal Warriors can't be worse than NA's other 3DS VC game this week!

Hey now! Spelunker is an AWESOME game.

But, staying on topic, SO IS CRYSTAL WARRIORS. I just did the first battle, and fudge me this game is great! I'm already addicted 0_o

I have played a bit, but I do have to say that l'll have to ajust to the mechanics of the game. Gotta say that it quite nice to have the oppportunity to fight back when the enemies attacks you, compared to ''Shining Force'' where it is turn by turn. On the other hand, it adds a bit more difficulty to the game and you've got to change your strategy. And how does the ''Local Play'' works in the game? Thanks.

I'm assuming Local Play only allows you to play against another person who has also bought the game on 3DS, having one person choose Host Game to start a game and the second choosing Join Game to connect to the first.

I used to play this game. I remember enjoying it quite a lot. It's definitely going onto my wishlist.

Those who have it and beat it how long it take you and ANY REPLAY VALUE

if all of the maps are the same i would guess 6 hours ...

hate how you cant back track or grind talk about a very simple game.. thought the game would be hard as well but so far the game is very very easy
there are 16 chapters and right now on chapter 6 at 2 hour mark

all i got to say is WOW this game is so busted.

got up to chapter 12 at the 5 hour mark and killing everything and though this game is a cakewalk what are some reviews saying this is a very hard game...

i get up to chapter 13 and get one person killed go into intermision noone to pick up
i get up to chapter 14 and get 2 more killed and go into intermission and once again no one to pick up
so starting on chapter 15 i only have like 6 people and the AI hits for like 20 hp per hit (40 per turn) when some of your mages and healers only have 33 hp)

game is so busted there is almost no way to finish the game if you lose your people

I finally downloaded this game. It is just as fun as I remember it being back in the day. Yes it is a bit . . . primitive. It is a fine early SRPG. A devoted retro gamer like me was made for stuff like this. Later levels certainly would be very difficult if your characters have been killed off. The secret is to not let your characters get killed off.

must been a chapter fast cause now im at chapter 15

its all MAGES meaning they can hit from few steps away........ been killed twice... up to around 7 hours.... fun game worth 4 bucks BUT

your going to find the game very easy until stage 13 then just get killed

(i had my units maxxed at level 9 and they will still wipped out)
