Topic: Cartridge & Download version Question

Hello, was wondering if you would retain the saves that a downloaded version of a game has, using a cartridge version. I don't believe it is, but I just need to make sure ! thanks!

There is a downloadable app to swap saves from a cart to the digital version, but I don't know if it works he other way...

pretty sure i've read that it doesn't work the other way around. you can back up cartridge saves to be used in a digital copy, but you can't put digital saves onto a cartridge copy.

I believe the cart saves are saved on the cart just like in the N64 days ...

There is no separate save file for the 3DS games. In the download version, the save file is part of the game itself just like the cartridge. However, any DLC bought in either version is a separate file (under Extra Content) and can be used for both versions (and even multiple carts).
