Topic: 3DS VS WII U

Between the 3DS and The Wii U which one do you guys prefer?

If you own both then you have the ultimate advanced hardcore gamer duo your dead presidents can buy

The 3DS by far. Not even in the same ballpark.

I own both but i find my self playing my 3ds more often mostly because of pokemon and the legend of zelda a link between worlds lol

3DS by such an extreme margin. I really haven't been that impressed by my Wii U yet. Meanwhile, my 3DS keeps making me so happy I own it.

I prefer Wii U is a gaming system but 3DS has far more games worth getting while also being cheaper.

The 3DS game library is absolutely amazing....Wii U not so much.

I bought both this year and have enjoyed my 3DS more due to its stellar 2013 software lineup. I expect this to change next year due to the Wii U lineup looking pretty good and better than what's announced for the 3DS so far.

I own both. 3DS has the games now. Wii U has the upcoming games. I would recommend Wii U because it has some nice titles available and much more support on its way. 3DS is still a nice choice, with plenty of games to last awhile.

3DS and it's not even close. I'd like to get a Wii U to play Super Mario 3D World but I can't justify a system for one game and since third party support is weak (the few that actually do show up usually get gimped) there's still no reason to buy one yet, imo. Now, that will change over the next 12 months as DK Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Smash and hopefully X and a few unannounced but awesome first-party games hit. It's been an extremely slow start for Wii U on the first party front though. 3DS on the other hand just gets awesome game after awesome game.

Not really a fair comparison, as 3DS has been out longer. It also had a fairly dismal first year, and it was receiving a lot of the same kind of abuse the Wii U is getting now.

I love the 3D effect and prefer portable consoles in general, so of course 3DS for me, but I do want a Wii U, and it could very well have a bright future if Nintendo puts its full weight behind it.

3DS, Wii U is only for Nintendo first party titles but 3DS have Nintendo first party plus great third party support

I've barely touched my 3DS since becoming a proud Wii U owner. Only Sega's glorious 3D releases have coaxed me back briefly. Still, MAB's flawless logic rings true, as always.

What a ridiculous thread topic. Everyone knows 3DS is better than wii u. 3DS is what every console should dream of becoming, and there's still a few years at least in its life cycle.

Pretty much. The Wii U is the only system where if you are apathetic towards its first-party titles, the system is pretty much useless.

Agreed... in that the same interesting people fascinated by the 3DS / Wii U combo are also the same interesting people proud to be ultimate advanced hardcore gamers. lol

Ironic considering the best Wii U game is Rayman Legends. But unless the survival horror, Monster Hunter and hardcore Rayman Legends fanbase are all one and the same, I do agree. And only one of those is exclusive anyway. Lego fans? I dunno, I wouldn't go quite as far as you but it's not good.
