3ds or Wii U which one to buy - Nintendo 3DS Forum

Sorry in advance if the channel is wrong, but im new here. I'm also new to nintendo and I'm wondering which console should i go first with (my last big N console was GBA). I was preparing myself to buy new 3ds when it's released in EU, but I would be playin most time at home, so I thought 'maybe better idea will be Wii U. What I'm looking for are good platformers (I'm huge fan of Rayman Origins and Legends) and Zelda games. RPGs not necessarily. I heard that mario games are superior on wii u, thats why i started to think about this console. Which one would be better choice for me? p.s. the only ds game i played is Ghost Trick and i loved it.

Wii U is more powerful and has better graphics, so Wii U wins... that is all gamers care about right? Power?

But seriously I have put a lot more hours into my Wii U than my 3DS, so I would recommend the Wii U.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

ok, all clear as far as console choice is concerned.
Any recommendations for titles to start with. (itll be definitely mario & luigi u bundle, but what else - write about all games, not only platformers)
p.s. I found on the internet people streaming PC---->Gamepad. Is it fake or just useless? Has somebody tried this?

Super Mario 3D World (currently the best game on the Wii U imo)
Smash Wii U (equally fantastic)
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (great level design and music)
Mario Kart 8 (awesome--that is all that needs to be said there, also great online)
Hyrule Warriors (good if you like action and Zelda)
Pikmin 3 (beautiful game)
Wii Party U/Wii Sports Club/Wii Fit U (I'm probably one of the few that like the Wii series; I feel these games are really worth it)
Nintendo Land (nice but not amazing)

And there's some more great games on the way: Kirby, Zelda, Star Fox, Splatoon, Yoshi, Xenoblade. Also Animal Crossing is sure to be announced soon.

As far as third-party is concerned, I can't really help you there much but LEGO City Undercover, Batman Arkham City, Assassin's Creed III & IV, ZombiU, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Disney Infinity, etc. are all great games.
