Hey everyone,
My brother and I were psyched to get our first 3DS eShop Card (20$)
But its brought us to fighting over who will use it. Regrettably we didn't think that far ahead
He wants Mario vs DonkyKong Mini's March again
And i want Pushmo that's soon to be released
Basically i would like to know if i can use
the 3DS to 3DS transfer feature (Upcoming) to transfer my purchases to his 3DS.
Can i possible split the money 10 and 10, Possible gift him 10 dollars from my 3DS.
Is there a way to register both 3DS's under my own possession and then download it from my account or any other variation of that.

I haven't used the card yet, Its just gathering dust. Please Help

Been there, Fragged That.

I think you can choose to transfer certain titles (And not others) if this is what you mean. Hence you could each buy what you wanted, then could transfer his on to his 3DS once the transfer feature comes out. At least that's how DSi > 3DS works

I'd just wait for the update to go live and then check by the end of that day on various websites to see other people's results from attempting to do that kinda thing. You know, let other people make that mistake before you attempt to. As for gifting or "splitting" the money between systems, Nintendo doesn't allow that type of stuff with 3DSs; gifting individual games to other 3DSs may come in the future, but "splitting" money between two systems will never come. If you really want to get Pushmo (and a few other games, presumably) as soon as you possibly can, I'd buy your brother out of his half of the card (or however much he put towards the card).

Exactly.

Kinda i don't think Nintendo would allow transfer on 3DS software because people could freely distribute it online and 3DS to 3DS. I meant either buy it all on one system and just transfer the games too him but again i don't think Nintendo would allow that because whats stopping me from giving the software to who ever i want.

@Legendslayer: It doesn't work that way — assuming 3DS to 3DS will be like DSi to 3DS, both systems must be in the same room (for local connections), thus making online distribution impossible. It's not actually copying any files between the systems other than the bare game data itself — note that your save-files are lost in the transfer process — and if the game itself isn't currently in your DSi System Menu, you can choose to transfer the license alone instead. They've also said before there are 'limits' to how many times software may be traded between systems, though they haven't elaborated on that yet (and probably won't until the update finally hits).

Either way, I think Birdman13 has the right idea — just hold off until the update hits and wait to ask someone else how the experience went for them. the idea that you may be able to purchase both games on one console and then transfer one of them to the other sounds reasonable enough :3
