I'm a Gamer, have been since as far as I can recall. I think the first console I ever played was the Atari 2600, but the memory is very blurred. Nowadays, Nintendo is my favorite gaming company, but I love all consoles from any & all companies!

Well the man's right - the Wii U isn't exactly in the best of states right now. This could have helped stop the console from falling into the rut it's it right now. Be that as it may, Nintendo made a choice and unfortunately it backfired on them.

With that said, if Mario Kart 8 & Super Smash Bros don't help the Wii U in sales, I don't know what will.

A reboot of the Pokemon Stadium franchise would be AMAZING. I don't own a Wii U, but if that were announced, I'd save up money and get one just for that game alone. I love the Nintendo 64 titles that much. Bring back that battle announcer, damnit! :D

While I don't agree that Lost World is a disappointing disaster, I can't say I liked it much either. I own the 3DS version and really could never get into the game - I don't know what it was. The flow, maybe the level designs, the fact that I had to use the Colors Powers I didn't care for.

Eh. These fan-made games look great though. I love the classic Sonic titles, and having more of them is always a good thing. :B

Oooh these are sweeeeiiiiit. 10 years from now, people will find these commercials and think, "This is from 2014! Aaaah, the good old classic days."

Which is what us 90's people (and those older) say about our own days. This reminded me of any humorous game commercial from the 90's. Great stuff. :D

JuanitoShet commented on Month Of Kong: The Making Of Donkey Kong Country:

I LOVE these articles. Unfortunately, the DK Country series for the SNES are a series I've never played before, since they were both before me and when I was just a waddling baby.

I have played DK Country Returns on the Wii though, and that's great. So I at least have an idea of what makes the original series great. :)

Rare was great; I got to play a handful of their games as a kid.

I'm gonna chase me down some Rare games for my N64. I've never played Donkey Kong 64 or Perfect Dark, for example - And I NEED to. I've already bought an Expansion Pack so I can play DK. :D

This game WAS (and still IS) better than Mario Kart 64. In fact, this WAS my Mario Kart 64; I never got to play Mario Kart 64 as a child, but a cousin of mine owned a copy of this title and we played the HELL out of it!

Over a year ago now I got my hands on a copy of this game for the Nintendo 64 that I've owned all of my life. And I'm happy to say that I still play it here and then.

Truly one of the greatest Nintendo 64 titles ever created. Definitely deserves all the praise. :)

JuanitoShet commented on Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Only Sell...:

Boooomb after booomb after boooomb... this are just grim all-around! I'm beginning to doubt that Nintendo will be able to turn the Wii U around anymore. They did it with the 3DS (and I love my 3DS), but the Wii U is something different. I wish they didn't have this failure in their hands.

But honestly, if I had the money for a Wii U right now, I wouldn't buy one either. What would I play? The few Virtual Console games that I can already buy on the Wii and 3DS? The OTHER first-party titles that I've already played before (Super Mario Bros U, 3D World, Tropical Freeze)?

And then Wii U gets Mario Kart 8 and Zelda later on. They're all great games, but they're also tricks we've all seen before. I'm no industry business expert, but I'm pretty sure that some new franchises would at LEAST get them some momentum.

And that's just one of the problems Nintendo has, but I'm not saying anything that isn't completely obvious. I want Nintendo to succeed, I really do, but it just seems like they're sitting on their a--es with their arms crossed.

I hope Iwata's "strategies" bear fruit. As a lifetime-long Nintendo fan and supporter, I'm really starting to get tired of all of these negative stories.

JuanitoShet commented on Sonic Lost World Sales Reached 640,000 in 2013:

This is more success than I thought the game would have, that with the slams it received from reviewers all over the net. But hey, it's nice to hear that the game wasn't a total flop. I've played the 3DS version and can't say I like the game much, though. Much prefer me some classic titles on the Master System, Genesis & Game Gear. :B

The Wii U isn't going to become very successful, unfortunately. That's been my prediction for it since after it started failing. And that's too bad, it's such a wonderful little console; it just needs MORE software and more awareness.

Come on, Nintendo. You can get out of this rut. :B

JuanitoShet commented on 3DS Tops US Hardware Sales as Wii U Achieves "...:

@Peach64 Wow, you take your stuff REAL seriously, don't ya? :B

We as Nintendo fans are so tired of hearing the Nintendo-doom stories, and as such it IS good news, believe it or not, that the sales of the Wii U are improving over time, even if at a slow pace. Yes, Nintendo's earlier home consoles did better overall up to this point, but even THAT may change with time in future sales info.

So hey, don't take it so seriously. Calm down. xD

JuanitoShet commented on Feature: Nintendo Games We'd Love to See in 2014:

I'm in favor of ALL of these concepts. Particularly Metroid Prime 4 (though I don't own a Wii U and have only played part of the original Prime), Fire Emblem: Anthology (since I've never played a Fire Emblem title, though I'm keeping awakening in my 3DS wish list and getting it somewhere down the line), and F-Zero AGX (since my life has much lacked F-Zero goodness; I can't seem to find 'em used in my swapmeet trips.)

Also, that Rosalina mini-game sounds interesting, as does... I'd be ranting even more if I kept going, so I'll just say I like all of these ideas. Some more than others, but all regardless. :)

JuanitoShet commented on Zelda Unveiled as New Smash Bros. Challenger:

She looks excellent, as all characters do so far. That's what HD will do to a character! :P

I'm as puzzled as anyone is as to why they're using the Twilight Princess Zelda. Some people have stated that it's due to time constraints & easy porting, but I don't know. Maybe they DO have some trick up their sleeve with this.

But like others have also said, here's to hoping that we get alternative costumes! I'd love to play as other Zeldas. And I'm also a monster with Sheik, so I hope that characters makes a return too. :B

JuanitoShet commented on Review: 3D Ecco The Dolphin (3DS eShop):

I used to have a Model 2 Sega Genesis, complete with the SEGA CD attachment and a few games. This one was one of them, though it was the CD version - I didn't get to play it because I lacked a power cord at the time, and didn't know that retro consoles & accessories were so readily available in my area.

My mom made me throw it away, insisting for months on end that it was just garbage I had stored away and that I'd never use it. One day when we were cleaning, I had enough and I threw everything away, including this game.

One of my biggest gaming regrets of my life. :'(

He says he struggles with Super Mario Bros 2. You'd be surprised at how many people there are in actuality that can't handle a simple 2D platformer such as that one. :P

But hey, now we know why the 3DS has sold so well in Japan - Shibata-san bought them all for himself. Haha!

JuanitoShet commented on Nintendo of America Keen to Boost StreetPass P...:

Yeah, when Nintendo of America says something is "coming to North America", they really only mean the US, and sometimes even Canada, fortunately for the people up there.

But then Mexico is excluded, and we always have been. You'd think that with today's technology the way it is, that wouldn't be the case. I'd say it's more than possible for events like this StreetPass stuff to happen down here too.

But no, we're neglected like we always have been. I guess I should be used to it by now.

These are very nice. But my Legend of Zelda Edition 3DS is all I'll ever need~

Until I decided to upgrade to a 3DS XL somewhere down the line, which won't be any time soon, I'd say. And it'd also be a limited-edition model. ;)

JuanitoShet commented on Feature: Why I Love Import Gaming:

@Yorumi Do it, you won't regret it! I'm taking a Japanese course at the moment (just got done with the first, actually) and I'm only learning it out of the desire to be trilingual. But being able to read content from imported games is also one of those big personal bonuses. ;)

Honestly though, Japanese is a lot of fun. At least, up until you get to learing the Kanji - I've only seen a small handful of the thousands that are used, but it's a challenge to be had for sure. :)

I own an original copy for my Sega Genesis (model 3). I haven't played it in forever simply because the video cable(s) I have don't work. Such a shame.

I actually think this title isn't half-bad. Not the best by any means, but not as bad as the article makes it out to be. I've never actually passed the whole game (I'd get my donkey handed to me) on the Genesis version though.

I think Need For Speed: Rivals looks INSANELY fun. Granted, I've yet to even see a PlayStation 4 console in actuality - much less play one - so I can't really be one to judge just yet.

Also, I thank you for sharing your Xbox website. Though Microsoft is probably my least favorite of the "the three big ones", it's nice to know you guys have all three companies covered in individual sites. I really enjoy all of your articles. :)

I simply find it amazing that the Wii U is struggling as much as it is after all of the success the Wii had. You'd think it'd at least have decent sales...

But, I disagree with this man. Nintendo doesn't need their first-party franchises on other consoles. That's part of what has ALWAYS made Nintendo Nintendo. ;)

JuanitoShet commented on Super Mario 3D World Struggles Against PS4 Tit...:

@MadAussieBloke Oh please, as if Nintendo would put away their money-making mascot for two decades! What world are you living in which would make you think they'd ever do such thing? (Though to be honest, a little break from Mario would be nice after Mario Kart 8 is out.)

Anyway, there's no surprise here. Mario can't do it all alone, especially not in Europe, where other consoles & titles have shown they have more brand power than Nintendo.
