Lovers of small animals exploring towns at night are having a great time this summer, as The Spirit and the Mouse follows hot on the tail of Stray, a game about a cat (shouldn't it be the other way around?).

Made by a tiny indie studio based in Montreal, Canada, The Spirit and the Mouse is an adventure game that features Lila (a mouse) and Lumion (a spirit), an unlikely team that have to work together to restore power to their village. The game is full of electricity-based puzzles and friendship-based storytelling, and promises to be a heartwarming experience. And if this all sounds a little familiar, it might be because we featured the game in our Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight back in April.

The Spirit and the Mouse will come out on Nintendo Switch for $19.99 on September 26th, 2022, at the same time as a PC release across Steam, Epic, GOG, and itch.io.
