NIS America is bringing the tactical RPG series Fallen Legion to Nintendo Switch for the first time with Fallen Legion: Rise to Glory, and the new handheld port is coming packed with plenty of extra content to tease you in for the first time or haul you back for a double dip.
This double pack comes with a set of daunting new stages to complete, and five brand new characters to take into battle as part of your party. The game has also been carefully optimised for Nintendo Switch, as well as fresh commands such as the handy manual link attack system now in place on Ninty's portable system.
Check out the trailer above and let us know if you'll be picking up Fallen Legion: Rise to Glory when it arrives on 29th May in North America and 1st June in the EU...

Looks like a day one purchase for me.. However, I’ll wait for a full review first just to be sure
Looks gorgeous, I love me some rpgs! I can't wait to get regalia, it looks like just thing I need for my tactical rpg desires I NEED a tactics game asap! God I would love a package with ps1 and two final fantasy tactics games for switch. Or a new vandal hearts or Kartia!
Unfortunately FL is not a very good game. Got it thinking it would be another Dragon's Crown / Odin Sphere - but "Meh" at best.
God Wars was much better - and great on the go on the VITA. So should translate well on Switch.
Grand Kingdom 2 on Switch would be amazing. Or if Bandai brings Record of Grancrest War to the switch also
@Thaswizz Agreed! I really really really hope we see Final Fantasy Tactics come to Switch, hopefully one more serious in nature akin to the one on PSone. The gameplay of the gba and ds ones were great of course, but I missed the darker themes from the first one. Also, this seems like the perfect system to revive Vandal Hearts!
@Agramonte I've been eyeing God Wars, it looks great. How does it compare to other tactics games like Fire Emblem and FF Tactics? Would you say the storyline is well done? How about the combat?
Looks like my kind of game.
@nin10doom Don’t forget about Banner Saga which is due on Switch this year. That one will be great on Switch
@H_Hunter You're right!!!! That's another excellent series I'm looking forward to finally playing. I've heard such good things about it.
@nin10doom I think closer in feel to FFt than FE. Combat is straight old school PS1 (some point reminded me of Jeanne D'Arc on PSP ) and some fights can drag on a bit. It has the thing I like where characters do not vanish from the field when killed off. You get x amount of turns to get to them and get them back. And Jobs are not linked to anyone. You can also auto fill best gear on characters you don't really care about and save a bit of time. But there is nothing flashy like Disgaea.
Story is decent but presentation and narrative helps a lot. You get voice acting and cool anime cut scenes. It got tons of hate on PlayStation, I mean it is not FFt but kept me going till the next cut scene.
I say it is a solid 7 on Vita (the Switch has "updates to the game's mechanics" and all the DLC). This was the review that sold it to me

@Agramonte Wow, that's awesome! Thank you for the great review, and the info. It's definitely something I'll pick up!
Day one for sure, got South Park today and always willing to devour more RPG goodness 😃
I'm really looking forward to this. Lovely 2D visuals and some strategy action gameplay in side scrolling stages, yes please!
@nin10doom Yes, that was only problem with gba ones. Even the law system I could get over due to great gameplay, but story was bad.
I'm excited about some of upcoming tactics games and I'm buying regalia soon. Either way amount of rpgs coming to switch makes me happy!
