Over the past weekend there was six hours of free online gameplay to be had in the ARMS Global Testpunch, which mimicked equivalent Splatoon and Splatoon 2 events in setting up multiple one hour sessions. The Party online mode gave players opportunities to try out multiple setups for battle, including V-Ball and various configurations of brawls. One common remark in our live blog comments was a desire to try out the other modes revealed in the recent ARMS Direct; pleasingly, we'll have that opportunity.

In the coming weekend both the Hoops and Skillshot minigames will go into the rotation of online play (thanks Eurogamer). The former is all about successfully executing grab moves, while the latter requires both speed and precision to hit targets before your rival.
