Started happening yesterday. Pages on the Wii Shop channel are in different, random languages: Spanish, German, Japanese, etc. In addition when navigating to a page, I might get that page or I might get a different page.
I've checked that the time, date, and language settings are all correct on the Wii. Other channels are giving me no problems. I'd prefer not to delete the channel and start over because my son still has 1000 points to spend on it, as well as downloaded content.
Also tried a soft reset. Still exhibits strange behavior. Any ideas?
I have the same strange behaviour, it started today just after adding wii points. Browsing through the channel is also erratic, and searches are not correctly performed.
It's like to be a technical problem with the servers/navigation and not a problem with the app itself. Try again in a few days to see whether or not the problem persists.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
Same here. I'm in UK and it has brought up Japanese only games and titles such as Axelay, which isn't available here. However it's not possible to actually buy anything from the store, even with Wii Points on the system.
Glad it's not just me. I brought up the issue in the comments of the Dolphin emulator Wii Shop news story yesterday because I thought they might have been linked. I'm guessing it might just be a problem with the servers though. I hope it's resolved soon as was planning a Wii Shop buying session this weekend.
Great it's all back to normal here too and made my purchases. I was getting worried there because it wasn't registering any of titles I had previously bought but they're all back now.
