Re: People Are Review-Bombing Pokémon: Let's Go Across Major Sites, Amazon Japan Blocks User Scores

With such diehard fanboy attitudes no wonder why Nintendo can laugh all the way through and not care the least bit about product quality when they count on the next switch game to make them tons of money. It's ridiculous.

Why don't the fans actually ask why the game was review bombed in the first place instead of unquestioningly showing their "loyalty"? If every new game is treated like this, fine. But when the reaction to this one title is so negative, there's clearly some major problem going on. I mean, even RDR2 is review bombed by non console players, but it keeps a score above 7.5

And apparently this is one way for the players to unite and resist against the power of the industry. Why don't you publish an article questioning how the media reviews of absolute cashgrab titles even like no man's sky or FIFA can always be so positive? You won't because you're also part of it. Players start from an uneven ground. If the media are allowed to post ridiculous positive reviews, they figure the only way for them to do it is to post ridiculous negative reviews. How is it surprising?

OK, so there's a major entry coming next year. Then why are they selling a dumbed down childish version at full price before that? If that's not a cash grab (like many other publishers are already doing), then what is? It's a very dangerous slope and people can be understandably upset.

Not to mention many seem to be totally fine with Amazon censoring reviews so that this title can keep selling to oblivious fans. Fine. If you're so happy handing over your hard-earned cash to Nintendo it's your freedom. It's just tragic. I know better things to do with my money. Such reactions just distance me from the gaming community a bit more. Review bombers can be childish, but so are the unquestioning fanboys.
