Thanks for the kind comments. To be fair, the article could have been twice as long as there are other very worthy soundtracks on the Wii (many of which you've already mentioned) but I tried to include a balanced selection of different styles so there was something for everyone - music can be a very personal experience!
You're absolutely right argus, there is no Led Zeppelin in EBA, I got them mixed up with Deep Purple. Apologies, dinosaur rock is not my mastermind subject of choice We'll correct it asap.
This sounds promising although if it's an S-RPG I hope it's the Valkyrie Chronicles team (was it the former AM1?) handling it and not the Tales team or whoever it is that makes RPGs chez Capcom these days. Has it been confirmed who the developer is?
The book doesn't cost almost 40% more, it costs exactly the same as Vol. 1: £24.99. It is indeed a bit pricey for the quality of print and binding you get but there is nothing like this published out there. The level of research, at least in the first book, is very impressive.
I bought the first Volume from their site and had to chase it up with them as the parcel took a long time to be delivered (although I think Royal Mail was partly to blame). Their customer service was a bit rubbish but after a bit of pressing on Facebook and email I got a reply from a very apologetic person, so hopefully they will have fixed that by now.
The first book is interesting, but more on a curio level than anything else. I will be getting this but the one that really interests me is the Gunpei Yokoi one they are supposedly working on at the moment.
@TrueWiiMaster The article does not imply that Wii gamers are casual and undiscerning, but rather that it was precisely this assumption that caused many companies to shy away from developing AAAs or exclusive games for the Wii with full budget and marketing support. And while it's an opinion that I don't necessarily agree with, it is also true that there is a perception from mainstream consumers (not necessarily gamers) of the Wii as the console of "the bowling game", Wii Fit and Just Dance. I can only think of Mario Kart Wii of a game with genuine crossover appeal among the casual and gaming community alike.
Thanks for the kind comments. I think it's a credit to Nintendo's idiosyncracy that even when they fail in dismal ways their business sense and especially their knack for creating amazing game experiences always seems to pull them through.
The SNES-CD debacle is certainly an interesting landmark in gaming history, and even if it meant Nintendo would struggle for a whole decade afterwards with their home consoles, I think it was probably for the best that it ended up not happening. It meant everyone, including Nintendo, had to up the ante with their hardware.

Re: Nintendo UK Boss David Yarnton to Leave Nintendo
I met him once a few years ago and I mentioned Xenoblade to him.. I want to believe I did my bit to convince NoE to bring it over here
He was also an Advance Wars fan so I have the utmost RESPECT for him.
