Re: International Game Developers Association Issues Critical Statement Over Nintendo and Alison Rapp

Honestly, I'm quite shocked about the reactions here. Just to get an understanding of what's going on and who she is, I took the time to read her Twitter posts. She represented Nintendo and was at the same time pretty outspoken towards legalization of child molestation and child pornography. Why is anyone still rambling about moonlighting and smear campaigns, this right there gave Nintendo all the right in the world to fire her, this wasn't a one time slip either, she's gone as far as to even defend her position!

It's children we're talking about here FFS.

@TeamSaberRider: Because your own head honcho said so himself in an interview? Or was it bullshit, like the rest of his promises? FIY:

Only the license has cost 25,000 euros
Even such as "Saber Rider". Of the total 15,490 euros come at the end of "about 13,000" at him, says game developer bouquet. The course is not enough for the production of a game for consoles, but we need "just a few hundred thousand euros," says Strauss. Only the license has cost around 25,000 euros, which he stretched out of pocket. "When I realized I can not pre-finance, we have thought about the crowdfunding."

It's the same "developer" as before. They blew the money from the first crowdfunding on a non working prototype and are now switching to 2D in hopes they can pull it off Shovel Knight style as "retro" game. This smells like a scam. They're asking for 75k before taxes with a 12 months development cycle for 5 developers. Shovel Knight took 5-6 developers nearly 2 years and around 350k to complete the game, but 5 months before completion, it left them nearly broke ... So, 75k, mhh? If the KS is successful, they're getting 43k, the license was 25k and the money they blew before aroud 15k ... that's 40k, see where this is going?
