@Kalmaro Who knows: maybe there will be a partner ring right next to Mario: a thwomp blocking attacks from a line of enemies or some such. Or maybe partners provide different special moves that hit different spaces on the grid. The biggest beef of Sticker Star and Color Splash was the collect-a-thon attacks, where you couldn't splurge on a special attack without going back to town to get another.
This makes me think of Skyward Sword: at first, I'm all "WHY CAN'T I KILL THIS DEKU BABA?!?!", but by the end, well, I didn't want it to end. I'm expecting something of the same with the new controls on Star Fox.
