This is funny since Nintendo's Headquarters in Europe is here in Germany as far as I know.
German laws entitle the manufacturer for repairs for all their products for 2 years after the product was bought. But only the first 6 months work into the customers favor as the manufacturer needs to prove that the damage is the customers fault. After that the customer needs to prove that this damage is the manufactures fault. This kinda stuff is completely independend from the manufacturers warrantee and is guaranteed by law.
But I don't know if UK Users can relay on german laws even if the headquater is in germany.
