@sanderev Then link me a 'trusted source' to you, saying how dumping your own roms for use in an emulator is considered illegal?
Edit: So where's the argument here then, you try to say this post would cause piracy but if you're going out of your way to emulate a Switch you'd need a decently powerful PC first off and I think most people who show interest in this mod would probably already own a Switch as is. Yuzu is not easy to run and requires modded Switch files as is in order to run. Let alone the fact you can't run most Smash mods on Yuzu, and only a select few, and this post does nothing to affect sales for Smash.
@sanderev Emulation is perfectly legal. How you obtain those roms is the grey area. Even google this yourself. I have a modded Switch, modding games or the system is not illegal in the slightest, because you own the title, you own the license. The only thing that's being broken here, is Nintendo's TOS, and that's not illegal. https://prnt.sc/11x2cch
@LinkSword Mods that affect the character roster take like... 2 minutes to make. There's a website where you can edit the character & stage selection screen for uses in your mods
@sanderev please tell me you're joking. hacking is not piracy, go to the Nintendo Homebrew Discord they'll tell you the exact same thing. Piracy is downloading a game or type of media you don't have the rights to. Hacking your console is effectively giving your console admin rights. Piracy harms the homebrew community, it's never their job to allow piracy.
