But, untrained people are simply identifying the usage of a pattern and ignoring the shifts in tonal context so they decide it's bad, when really it's well made. It's frustrating to me to see that dissonance. People just dogpile and it's like no logical argument matters in the face of bandwagon hate.
I registered an account just to say people are waaay off with this ost. It's actually just good. It's not "the same thing over and over", and the differences are far beyond just instrumentation changes. The difference in the songs is in their style and chordal structures. He's able to take one musical pattern and make vastly different compositions with totally different progressions.
It's my least favorite thing as a professional musician to see uninformed people bash on something for reasons I find ill fitting. Please go watch 8 bit music theory's video on crafted World if you want to see well presented examples of what I'm talking about. The soundtrack isn't bad just because people say it is.
