Re: Review: Call of Duty: Ghosts (Wii U)

@vio Great post. I see where you're coming from. Sites like Nintendo Life keep giving great AAA Wii U titles like Splinter Cell: Blacklist (the Wii U version sits at a 75% on Metacritic, despite looking and running better than the PS4 & 360 versions) lower than average scores, and fans listen to these sites too, as odd as it is. There's also the "screw this game, I'm waiting for [insert first party title here]" mentality that basically makes 3rd party developers not care any more.

Honestly, these people have it coming.

@D3athBr1ng3r187 Not true at all. The multiplayer is more balanced and strategic than ever, the art direction is more beautiful and lively than any other Infinity Ward installment (BOII still takes the cake though), the motion controls are absolutely phenomenal, and it's jam packed with content. It's easily a 9, and one of the best Wii U games ever.

On top of that, it's the only AAA FPS (unless you count the Mercenaries from SC: B's SvM's mode) out for the Wii U this year, with Battlefield 4 skipping it. It's either Call of Duty or nothing. That alone should bump up the score, along with it being a mature rated 3rd party game for the system. Gratefulness should count in.

Also, this guy has given Just Dance games 7-9 scores, and those games are milked like all hell. This same site also gave the sub-par Sonic: Lost World a 7 out of 10.

@TheGreenSpiny Play Most Wanted '05, High Stakes, Hot Pursuit on PS1, Not Pursuit 2 on PS2, Underground 1 & 2, Hot Pursuit, & Most Wanted U and you'll forget the poopsiedoodlecacadoggiepoopledoodoo you spewed. Those are great games.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?

GuyMan

@billychaos Because Scarface: The World is Yours, Chinatown Wars, GTA Advance, The Godfather, and Driver: Parallel Lines didn't happen.

The media wouldn't give a poopiedoodledoggiecacapooplepoop. Besides, why should Nintendo have to appeal to the same media mongols who write negative articles about them constantly?

@HouseofBees I could see why you'd be jealous.

Re: Review: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist (Wii U)

GuyMan

This guy gave Just Dance 3 an 8 out of 10, I think it was. Take this review with a grain of salt, as it's really bad. Read Nintendo Enthusiast's review for a quality review.

Like dude, just be happy they released a triple-A Wii U title with DLC in the first place.

@Azooooz The PC version doesn't have it either. And remember, the Wii U version was commissioned later and also had to come out on the same day. The development was slightly troubled.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?

GuyMan

@HouseofBees I play a wide variety of games across many platforms. So that argument is invalid.

Also, just so you know, you're basically advocating for censorship when you ccomplain about nonexistent things like "moral corruption." That and you sound like you were raised by Drake inside of a church. That and it gives us Nintendo fans a bad name amongst the general gaming community.

About the moving forward, GTA V is quite different in many areas, and it pushes current hardware to its limit.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?

GuyMan

As usual, the comment section is filled with people who only like Nintendo games, pretentious hipsters, the regressive, and people who can't handle the content of the game (no other fanbase complains about it ).

I'd definitely buy it on Wii U. The system needs all of the M rated triple-A titles it can get. Its time to move forward. On top of that, the game is phenomenal. It has a higher score than Mario Galaxy on Metacritic, and I can easily agree with that. Its simply gaming stepping forward.

Re: Soapbox: When It Comes To Software Support, The Grass Isn't Always Greener

GuyMan

I'm sorry, but this has to be the most 'assurance' ridden and one sided article I've ever seen.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Dark Souls II, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, Devil's Third, Earth Defense Force 2025, Hellraid [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri59BTNQ6Eo], Sacred 3, Saints Row IV, South Park: The Stick of Truth, The Wolf Among Us, Battlefield 4, Destiny, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dying Light, The Evil Within, Mad Max, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Need for Speed: Rivals, The Return of Strider, Sniper Elite 3, Thief, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Carmageddon: Reincarnation, The Crew, Tom Clancy's The Division, Doom 4, The Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III, Mass Effect 4, Mirror's Edge 2, Whore of the Orient, Shadow Warrior, Star Wars: Battlefront III, Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, & The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are all but confirmed to skip the Wii U, and you completely glanced over this just to use come crappy Spark Unlimited titles like Yaiba and Lost Planet 3 (oh yeah, the same two games that never had any loving hype to begin with) as your examples that the Wii U is fine without 3rd party support. I'm sorry, but when I buy a console, I expect relevant titles to be released on the same day with the same content; I never lower my expectations.

And about the Infamous comment, gamers everywhere have been wanting an Infamous title on the PS4. Every gamer I've talked to loved the 1st two games, and critics loved them too. So yes, the world did ask for a sequel. It's also a new storyline that actually looks interesting. Don't underestimate it, because it looks exceptionally polished. Also, Killzone is Sony's flagship FPS franchise and it has a lot of players. Also, Dead Rising 1 & 2's clock system was annoying, I'm glad it was removed for Dead Rising 3. It allows me to explore the world without feeling restrained.

If I made a similarly ignorant comment about Pikmin 3 by saying "it looks good, but did anybody ask for it?", people would completely correct me and call me out on it. It just sounds like a poor generalization and a way to downplay a good looking game just because it's an exclusive on the competition's system. Even then, it looks more interesting and has a wider scope than something like Super Mario 3D World.

Nintendo is great at what they do, but they need more relevant 3rd party games with equal content so they can provide age-wide content that allows more variety on their systems. Third party games with the quality you'd find on releases on other platforms along with enough Nintendo games to compliment them will result in Nintendo's definitive system.

Re: Activision Reveals Call Of Duty: Ghosts, Doesn't Mention Wii U Version

GuyMan

The pretentious & elitist Call of Duty/FPS hate in these comment sections needs to stop. You're not "cool" & "different" for looking like a massively contarian elitist, you look like an ungrateful prick since Activision is one of the few companies supporting the Wii U with a core AAA franchise. /Rant.

As for the game itself, take a look at these links.

Re: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is Confirmed For Wii U

GuyMan

@Neram & everybody else complaining about "milking": As long as the series remains high quality & Ubisoft keeps bringing well received mature content to the Wii U, then there's nothing wrong with it. With the 3rd party support of the Wii U, ya'll should be happy that Ubisoft is bringing the Assassin's Creed games to Wii U.

Re: Review: Geist (GameCube)

GuyMan

I'd give this underrated gem an 8.5 or a 9. For one, Nintendo published an M rated game. That and the puzzles are clever, shooting strangely felt good to me, & the levels always managed to fit the possession mechanic.

Re: Review: Call of Duty: Black Ops II (Wii U)

GuyMan

I'd say this deserves a lot more, like a 9. For one, it's the first complete Call of Duty game on a Nintendo console, it's a mature rated game on a Nintendo console which is helping with Nintendo's reputation (any playable or fun M rated game on a Nintendo console gets an 8 or above from me), it's the best console version, & the player base, while small, is fun to play with.
