A new console 2D Zelda would be awesome. I really miss those; they were always so good and refined. The 3d ones never quite do it for me though they're fun, except for (warning unpopular opinion incoming in 3...2...1...) Breath of the Wild. I was really disappointed in Breath it felt like a decade old Ubisoft title. Big world; nothing to do.
If Nintendo makes another open-world approach I hope they take a look at what Horizon did. In Horizon the map was a decent size and filled to the brim with things to do. The Witcher 3 is another great example of a open world. I just hate walking for 15 minutes with nothing interesting happening.
Also did not like the weapon degrading system. I never felt rewarded for going out of my way to do something because most of the rewards were weapons that break quicker than the time it took to get them.
