Would have been great if you had the choice of which outfit to wear on both games. It still seems shoehorned in because of the lack of choice in smash, and because the new outfit isn't her main one the first place. (yes, probably due to target age ratings)
The only good news here, is that they actually tried to integrate it to the main game/story.
