I'm not trying to say anything to your character. I don't know you. I don't know if you are arrogant. I don't really care. I do think you are a bit sensitive. But it's ok, I'm sensitive too.
As far as 'speaking for women', I don't know if you are. I didn't claim that you were. Nor would I ever claim to speak for all women either.
If I am a feminist because I'm tired of my body parts being sexualized, because I'm tired of being sexually harassed, hit on and pursued by some men purely for the sake of sex, then sure, I'm a feminist. If recognizing that women are constantly objectified makes me a feminist, I guess I am. But I know what that feels like first hand, have cried about it and my self-esteem crushed over and over again as a result and I wouldn't necessarily call my reaction feminist. But if you want to, fine. However, I do not agree with feminists who generalize, degrade and otherwise criminalize men.
My comment was not meant to do anything to you. It was meant to share my opinion. And in my opinion, if men are going to stick up for women, I'd rather they realize and consider that, to some women, not being seen as a sex object is more important than whether their body type is represented in a video game. And that because some women have the opposite opinion, it's best to just remain neutral or stay out of it in general. But again, that's just my opinion.
We can not ask men to change what my fiance calls the 'male agenda'. Men do rule the world. And I agree, requesting men stop talking about it won't change anything either. But I disagree that it takes men to stop it. It takes women speaking up against it. And I think I have earned the right to at least complain. And I'm not sorry about it.
At any rate, an arguably better woman would use my energy in more productive ways than to entertain responding to someone who doesn't care to even read my comments....
Also, I'm done too. You are impossible to have a conversation with. I'm not even looking to change your mind. Just have a debate. But you are being offensive.
I think he is calling you a troll because many of your arguments do not make sense. Not because they are different.
Also, I'm not sure if you were referring to me, but I'm no feminist. In fact, I'm not a big fan of them because many tend to go too far to the point of criminalizing men. Which I find wrong.
I simply would love to stop having conversations and seeing headlines about breasts.
I'm one of those that could care less about the slider. Whether it's there or not is unimportant to me. What I do care about is making sure woman do not feel insecure as a result.
Some make them smaller, that's fine. Some larger. Ok. My point is that I would rather not see such emphasis placed on the ability to adjust them at all. Why the heck is this even a headline?
Also, you cherry picked one of the least important lines in my comment. I'll remove it if it makes you happy. Though, as you can clearly see in my comment I said 'nearly all'. Not 'all'.
My point still stands though. Women are expected to have tiny waists and big breasts. That is what society tells us. Women are constantly being sexualized and objectified. You can not argue this fact.
Female gamer here with big breasts. I don't feel excluded because I would not be able to adjust the breast size to be larger for the sake of relatability. My breasts have been with me for well over 20 years now. They are an extension of me no more so than my hands and feet. Rarely do I even think about them unless they get in the way of me trying to reach for something. I think if they were proportionate to the body size (as hands and feet are) that would be fine.
I think a lot of guys here are trying to make an argument to include the customization on behalf of women and at least from my point of view, it's a silly argument/issue.
Things I can actually control in real life like hair, outfit and accessories are more important to me. Those are the things I adjust daily. Those are the only things I care about. I play Guild Wars 2. You are able to adjust the breast size. I made mine average and spent 10x the amount of time colorizing and customizing my character's outfit.
Hypothetically speaking, I would be more disappointed that I couldn't make my character's hair blue than whether her breasts were accurate to mine.
Perhaps there are women out there that care about adjusting their body type. Fair enough. But it's my opinion that we shouldn't place such emphasis on woman's breasts. There is already enough of it out there making young girls insecure.
Woman are expected to have big breasts and tiny waists as seen in nearly every anime character that ever existed in a video game. I would love, for once, if we could just look at breasts as nothing more than a body part that women have and that's it.
Stop making breasts something that we are supposed to care about!

@Fee I don't read Nintendo Life but saw the article on Twitter and decided to comment. Had to create an account for that...
I love how men continue to make decisions and weigh in on issues that only affect women...
